Re: Latest spring training casualties..

***Orioles Notes***

*Orioles traded SP Matt Riley to Texas for OF Ramon Nivar (AAA). Nivar will go to Ottawa, while Riley competes for a spot in the Rangers SP staff. Both have pics and are in the game so this applies to all rosters. You may have to do some shuffling for Oklahoma(Ranger's AAA) as they may be short of a position player.

*The O's also traded catcher Keith McDonald to the Rangers for future considerations.

*B.J. Ryan will indeed start the season as the closer.

*Rick Bauer is the leading canidate for the 5th spot, while SP Bruce Chen will likely head to a MRP job for the O's

Re: Latest spring training casualties..

and
Royals waived outfielder Abraham Nunez.
Nunez, considered the favorite to start in right field when camp opened, lost his roster spot to Emil Brown. He'll probably clear waivers and be a part of Triple-A Omaha's outfield.

Re: Latest spring training casualties..

Luke Hagerty, who is not in the game, was returned to the Cubs, good for them since they need pitching and Hagerty is a legit hurler soon.
