no, it is the rosters. they are rated just a bit too high. i think for the next roster they use the default rosters as a template for created minor league ratings.

You are correct, and you can edit the minor league prospects so that they aren't called up, if you choose to. I edited all of the teams so that they carry a minimum of 13 position players, including two catchers. It takes a litle time, but it can be done.

i started to do the same thing, took an hour just to edit all of the angels and diamondbacks AAA/AA pitchers, gave them 50-30 control on their pitches for AAA, 40-20 for AA, and they werent called up. by editing all these players you really gain a sense of appreciation for all the work gomer and kerm have done cause it is a major pain in the [censored]. so much so that i have given up, and started a season with NYY.

Definitely so...I have spent several days on two occasions now editing rosters to avoid the mass pitching callups. It takes about 20 hours.

It was worth it to me but it is a major effort. EVERYONE who has been generous enough to provide us with rosters to choose from deserves recognition and our thanks as a community.

Re: MVP Baseball 2004 Roster Discussion

I think the MAX DRIVE is starting to get a fan base. I'd be willing to donate (along w/ other max drive users) so you guys can pick up one and work your magic w/ .max files! I found a .max MVP roster save over at codejunkies. It says uploaded by DT Linder (I think that's the guy from ps2rosters)...but the file is dated early march....the ps2rosters site also has an updated save from 5/30/04 but it's a .sps file not a .max. Is there a connection between the two sites, if so I'd hope the outdated save from codejunkies could be updated also. Thanks for reading! I'm just a Rookie though what do I know.
