Can you be fired in MVP?

I'm doing Dynasty mode. Not too high on Owner mode. So, if you could last year, is it safe to assume that you can this year? Sorry, if its already been answered, but, I didn't see it in some of the interviews I read.

I bet it will happen. If you get fired, you have the chance to join with a sucky club or retire.

Thanks for the input. Yeah, if I get fired, I'll just start over. I'm the Devil Rays right now, so other than having a bright future, I can't get much worse in overall talent right now.
