    Lefty glitch? Final verdict...

    Gang...

If there was ever a time I'd consider jumping to MVP from ASB it would be now. Fron the camera angles, replays, & fielding, MVP has SO much to offer... BUT, if there truly is a left handed power glitch this game isn't even a consideration. I'd sure like to know about this matter before i waste many days in a franchise...

What are your final opinions on this?

There definitely seems to be an issue. You can hit homeruns with lefties, but it is difficult. Righties seem to hit towering shots, while lefty homeruns often times just clear the fence. I still love the game though.

It's definately an issue. if you watch replays you can definately see all left handed batters put topspin on the ball which cause the hit ball to sink or die in mid-air thus explaining the lack of power. Righties tend to put backspin on hit balls causing them to carry. Big mistake not to catch this by EA IMHO.

Does the animation of the ball spin have an actual effect on how the game plays? I've noticed that the spins of different pitches are different, if not totally accurate.

I've noticed the the fastballs all come with the correct spin, but curve balls start w/fastball rotation, then midway to the plate, when the pitch breaks down, the spin changes to top spin, so there might be something to that.
