It was said that you had to wait 4-5 minutes before starting the next round, or the game doesn't give you VC. So the second save was a way to fill the wait time

But how long do you take to sim a season? If you fly through a season in 4-5 minutes you have to wait.

That must be why. I usually take about 7-10 mins a go. Is it even possible to do it in 4-5 mins? lol.
