Go for fastbreak dunks in transition and assisted post-up fadeaways in the half-court. Boozer, Dirk, and Aldridge are all pretty cheap to get and are great at hitting post fades.

Those are the most lucrative ways to score.

On defense, rush the computer into early shots and go for blocks/steals to boost your MT payout.

My advice is to find one decent cheap gold player you are comfortable with, beat the first few teams, and then you should have a bunch of guys who are capable of being rotation players. I try to find somebody I'm comfortable at shooting with, and then a few rebounders at the beginning. My first two golds were Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol since they were cheap and had solid rebounding ratings.

Get a pf with a high "post fadeaway" rating. Boozer's great, but he might be a bit expensive. I first started out with carl landry, he's cheap. Put a good rebounder at center. Put athletic shooters on pg, sg and sf.

Push the tempo, try to get quick scores, preferably on assists. If you can't get a quick score, pass it to landry for a post fadeaway. If he starts getting doubled, kick out to one of your shooters.

You should get the required mt pretty easily this way. If you can afford dirk and boozer, buy them. They score over half my points most games.

These Post-Fadeaways are the most OP thing in the Game, in all Modes! All BigMans do them and shoot crazy high FG% with it. Even Scubs like Kanter hit them all the time.
