Why did I get a dupe Magic Johnson as a reward for 86-87 Laker collection?

I completed the collection and in the reward pack it was a dupe gold Magic Johnson after I had just bought a Magic to complete the collection. It was supposed to be a sapphire Michael Cooper. Anyone else have this happen with other collections?

Yea I'm not really complaining, I'm just curious if there's other collections like this. I'm not mad about getting a card I can sell for 250k.

This is true, but what I'm wondering is will he still get the trophy for completing the Historic collection if he doesn't have sapphire Michael Cooper. I'm a bit of a trophy hunter so this makes me wonder.

Pretty sure this was a mistake on the powers that be at 2k. I've done many of the historic collections and not ran into anything like this. You might tweet ronnie if you want to get the sapphire cooper , best of luck

EDIT: I just bought out their team, I got Magic too! Nice! ~250K profit. Magic doesn't fit my gameplan and already got Oscar.
