I tear it up with Harden every game, so I'd highly recommend getting him. His defense lacks a bit, but honestly as much cheese as you'll experience in each game that you play his lack of defense really makes no difference. Your opponent (or the CPU) will make crazy shots over your defense regularly no matter what you do, or they'll draw fouls. I have sapphire Hakeem and Bill Russell in my starting lineup and guys regularly score in the post or draw fouls, so no matter the defensive ratings there's nothing you can do to stop the cheese every time.

tl;dr - Harden is a monster for me so yes I highly recommend getting him.
