Pretty surprised no one has mentioned Kentavious Caldwell-Pope yet; I've just started, but so far, he's excelled, showing inside and outside shooting abilities that far exceed what one would expect from a player with his ratings.

I also like Lavoy Allen, whom I've been forced to use for lack of a better PF.

like I said....really, its too many good ones to list. forgot about KCP because I havent used him in a while. good release and can really heat up and good in transition.

2 guys that were cold-blooded in last years game but toned done a lot in this years is Ledo and Schroeder. still good though. if you give Ledo deadeye, he can really get hot and stroke it. Schroeder's stepback is still butter...give him stepback freeze and he really is tough.

Hairston is one of my favs too because he has good badges. he can heat up and bang 3's from long range with Limitless range badge.

another guy who can get hot and has good badges is James Young. forgot about him because I havent used him in a bit.

Larkin has speed, quickness, and vertical ratings in the 90s. Cory Joseph is a good defender and playmaker at the lower levels.

Same here. I love the guy. Used to have him on my team last year all the way to the 1st seed. This year I'm going the same route. If you're not that much into spamming 3s, he'll do magic for you.

Wroten is actually a silver player who was given a bronze card. On paper he is probably the best bronze out there. He is 74 overall while there are many silvers with less rating. He comes with twice as many badges than a lot of silvers. When I first got the game I had him and he was one of my top scorers. If he can get to the cup, he will finish strong. He is usually on my roster even as an end of the bench guy on my gold teams.

Re: best bronze players

Well....I don't think he's been mentioned here yet, but I started a new PSN account just to start MyTeam over from the beginning, so I've been using some different Bronze guys of late.

One guy stands above the rest - Chuck Person aka "The Rifleman".

This guy lights it up. He's probably best used as a PF, but could also play some 3. He's the polar opposite of Tony Wroten, as Person isn't a guy you are going to be able to dribble around with and get buckets.

However, Person is a great pick-n-pop player and spot up shooter. He is also very effective from midrange and has a nice little mid-post game, especially if you face him up and go to work.

His shooting ratings are decent...but he seems to perform well above those. Perhaps because of his easy release? Or maybe it's just easy for me because I grew up watching him...?

Person only comes with Corner Specialist, and since he's Bronze, you can only add one badge....I added Deadeye. Which is what I would suggest as the best fit....although if you wanted to go a little cheaper and use him a lot in pick-n-pops then you could easily add Screen Outlet to him as his other badge.

He's not cheap though....right now the lowest-priced Person on PS4 is 14,000 MT. I got him a few days ago for like 7,500 MT...

This is the 34-year old Spurs Chuck Person...so he does have some limitations, but still a great bronze. And it makes me wonder why 2K doesn't have a better Pacers version of Person in the game.

I've also been using James Edwards, the 88-89 Pistons version. Very solid player who might just be the ONLY Bronze with a consistent post up game. He has a 77 Post Fade rating and the Bronze Pistons version comes with the Fade Ace badge.

His post fadeaway is money...

He's available on PS4 for like 3,000 MT, but I remember paying a lot less for him over the weekend when prices are usually lower.

You could use the 95-96 Bulls version...but that is a 41-year old James Edwards...and comes with no badges - meaning you would have to add Fade Ace as his only badge.

Best to go with the Pistons version....as it comes with Fade Ace and Bruiser. Bump those to Gold or Silver and then add another badge. I added Tenacious Rebounder, but another post up badge like Post Stepback Pro would work...or Brick Wall.

Like I said, I've started over with MyTeam and I'm trying to use players I did NOT use the first "go-round".

Some pleasant surprises so far....

Alex Len....can almost always be bought cheap. Plays above his ratings and has some good moves in the post.

Alexey Shved....nice combo guard who can give you solid minutes. I like bigger PGs and I've also grown to really like having 2 guards who can handle the ball and pass in 2K. Shved's length and animations also turn him into a decent defender in the game...

Archie Goodwin....surprisingly athletic guard who can handle and defend. Low shooting ratings scared me off when I first started playing the game and NEEDED the best shooters possible in order to make shots. But now that I'm better at the game, I can make shots with Goodwin and his 68 3PT rating.

95-96 Jud Buechler.....I've been a fan of the other, cheaper Jud Buechler for some time, but that version only has an 82 3PT rating and this one has a 90....along with a little better defense and rebounding.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen a huge difference in shooting with this version...I made lots of shots with the lesser version, so it's not like this one misses. It's just not enough of a difference to justify the cost.

However, this version also comes with Corner Specialist attached, the other does not....which means I can also add another badge to this version. Most likely it will be Deadeye....but Microwave or Limitless Range would also make sense.

Re: best bronze players

I mentioned James Edwards earlier....but if you are looking for bronze bigs with badges.....Edwards is one to go for.....and Pistons Dawkins. Edwards probably has the most consistent post game of any bronze but I have had great post success with Antic. Antic is definitely a top tier bronze card.

I came in here today to post this guy though...

BRAD SELLERS!!! He is a 7' sf. He is extremely consistent from 3 despite being a sub-70 rating. Maybe its his release, but I rarely miss wide open 3's with him. I been playing with him and knew he was good....but I just been going on a tear with him. A brought him off the bench today and he scored 14 straight points. He can shoot, good in transition, because he is 7' he is hard to block and he is difficult to get a post shot over.

So now.....I have replaced my bench silver sf spot with Sellers and added Austin Daye as my 3rd SF in case of injury.

Generally, there are way better historic bronze then current day. Anthony Morrow may be the most valuable current day bronze though because his hot zones are all over the court. Jimmer's is too, but I have trouble with his release.

Awesome...thanks for this.

I actually think Silver (young) Dawkins is easily one of the top Silver players in the game and wondered if Bronze would also play close to that level even though its a much OLDER version of Dawkins.

James Edwards...love him so far...and I've only used him for 5 or 6 games. It helps that I've also been attempting to play defense without hitting the "jump" button as it was only leading to lots and lots of fouls for me. Having a center who doesn't really block shots makes it easy....and his post up game is nice to have.

I don't feed it to him regularly, but its nice to go to him every once in awhile to mix things up.

I'm with you on Pero Antic, who is a personal fav....but I've always used him as just a perimeter shooter and pick-n-pop guy. I will have to put him to work in the post some.

"The Mayor".....no, not Fred Hoiberg - who needs to be in future 2K's BTW.

You beat me to Brad Sellers...I have been putting off testing him out. But now I will have to. I actually used him in 2K13's MyTeam with some success...and it's also nice because he's a local NE Ohio guy....who I met as a kid at basketball camps that he was a part of.

He even does some work on the radio here following Cavs games.
