Is there a comprehensive list of top players to get?

Sold my copy of 2K last year and felt an itch so I gave 2k Sports more of my money.

Was always an avid MyTeam player. But I come in to the mode today and I'm kinda overwhelmed by all these new players and rarities. From what I gathered so far, most of the rarities are just fancy colors and more or less similar to normal Gold versions.

So is there like a list of good players to grab? I'm sitting on around 7 mil MT after buying the Onyx Kobe and Wade.

Edit: What's the Pink Player deal about? Is that like the Sapphire KD and stuff from '14. Only available in codes? Cause I NEED that Melo.

Long story.
Copped the game Day 1 like most other people. Back then the Auction House was absolutely f***ed. Bought some VC. Bought a bunch of packs. Popped two Steph Currys. Put one on the House for almost max money. Then I think the entire auction house crashed and everybody's stuff was either bought or lost.

I tried to get my payout for like a month but it would just accept and stay in the rewards queue. Then all the lag and stuff had me like F this game.

Bought it back this week and went into MyTeam, the claim was still there and it worked this time. So 4 months later I got a s***load of my team points.

Onyx McGrady
Onyx Lebron
Onyx Big O
The best Sapphire Legends, you get them by completing collections. I.e. Hakeem, Wilt, Karl and Moses Malone, Russell, David Robinson.
Onyx Carter
Ruby Kobe 98, Ruby Davis, Ruby Harden, Ruby Irving

Pink Diamonds are Locker Codes only. So far Melo, Shaq and KD.
