Playbook workaround?

I'm talking about the glitch everybody who's played RTTP has likely experienced -- that you are forced to use the home team's playbook when you're playing on the road. Several people on here have proposed workarounds, buried deep in some threads. I've tried the ones I've seen but haven't gotten any to work. Does anybody have a functioning workaround that enables ýou to use your playbook on the road? If so would you mind giving detailed instructions of how you managed to do this?

Thank you in advance, I'm sure there are many others who would love to know how to get around this problem.

I don't remember who suggested it, but if you change your coach and exit the menu so that it saves to the server, and them change him back , it seems to save your playbook. I've had pretty good success with that.

Idk of you have to do it before every game, but I do just in case

I change the playbook to another one before every game
I get out of the manage team screen so it saves
Go back and re-choose the right playbook.

So far it works

Maybe have the coach from that specific playbook.

For example. Wizards playbook = Randy Wittman as coach.

Well I guess I could try the Spurs playbook, but I don't really want to. I've got the perfect playbook for my team with 6-7 good plays I know when to use, I just want to be able to use it.

Then use your playbook's coach.

It really weakens your team when you use a bad coach. My overall goes down by 10.

My playbook is messed up. For example, 91 Horns Fist should be where my PF and C set a screen for the PG in the middle of the floor with the SG and SF in the corners, but whenever I call that play, it actually calls that cheesy double screen play everyone abuses in RTTP. I think it is called 63 fist. Also, a few days ago, I tried to call a floppy play for Chris Mullin and when I pushed floppy, it actually ran a P&R play for my PG. It said the play call was floppy but it was actually something else. This ever happen to anyone else?

91 Horns Fist is pretty much the 63 fist, the play you meant to run is the horns 12 fist I think.

I am using heat playbook and all plays are there for DRose and Big O, but for some reason with Diamond AI I don't seem to have any familiar plays. Mostly iso too. Why is this???

Different players have difference plays assigned to them. AI has a lot of Isolation plays while DRose and Big O probably have P&R Ball Handler plays and others. I know in 2k13 you used to be able to edit the assigned plays but you can't anymore sadly. I hate the fact that Karl Malone does not have P&R Roll man plays in his play calling.

Some like glen rice dont even have 1 play its just blank.

historical players that are not part of a team collection dont have plays.
