Gold Penny is the same exact thing. He was a beast last year, haven't tried him this year.

If you have the MT to spare and you're a Penny fan, the preloaded badges, extra badge space, + awesome sapphire picture make getting him worth it. But then again, it is the same card as the gold.

I have tried the gold version, full badged up ( I didn't have enough MT to complete the collection but I had got him for 20K or something)

I was dissapointed.

I play a lot of pick and Fade in a 4 out 1 , so I run all my offense through my PG. Unfortunately Penny lacks the explosion after the pick.

He isn't a great shooter either.
If you really do not care about the athleticism of your PG, you can get Sapph Oscar who is much better in all aspects and cheaper too.

I would only advice you to get him if you are a fan.

Having said that, I think that 2k really underrated his overall. 88 seems very low for the impact he had that period.

His release is kind of like the Big O's. You need limitless range on him so you can have room to get his shot off. He's a top notch finisher so if you can get his shot down people won't know how to defend him.
