Good cheap Onyx players

I have 20K MT, and I already have a good/decent team.

Team is: Gold Lillard-Ruby Wade-Gold LBJ-Ruby Bosh-Sapph. Yao and a bench of Gold Kyrie-Emerald Matthews-Onyx Wallace-Gold Griffin-Gold Cousins as my bench with fillers of Sapph. PG13 and Gold Moncrief and Silver Vince Carter.

I want to mess around with my team and fill them with some cheaper Onyx players that not many people use such as Joe Johnson, Mo Williams, Bosh, Amar'e, Harrington, etc. You get the point lol how much would these type of guys go for and how many could I get you think? I would sell some players I have but they only go for like 5K max lol. My Wade and LBJ are most expensive players I have I think, and I don't really want to sell those guys. Have been quite busy and not been able to get on 2k in a while.

You better buy your Onyx players on thursdays or fridays because of the cheaper prices. Good buys are Scola, Gasol, Brand, Boozer for around 2k each. You can get Mo Williams for around 3k and best cheap Onyx buy IMO World B. Free for under 5k. Also nice for under 4k Kaman and Terry for around 5k. Monta & D-Will are also nice. Just wait until thursday after the new TBT cards will drop and then keep an eye on the market. Those cheap Onyx cards are the best bang you can get for a small price. Johnson costs around 8k, Amar'e around 20k on TBT days.

Onyx mo is very good as a spark plug. Badge him out and he is great. He is my sixth man for a long time and he is always there to light up a spark with a couple of threes off the bench.

For under 5K the guys you definitely want are Mo Williams and Luis Scola

Jet is similar to Mo, I prefer him. Gerald Wallace is also great.

Jameer Nelson is really cheap for how good of a shooter he is. But you can only use him in games where the opponent has a small PG or SG to hide Jameer on defense. And since Jameer is bad at passing, driving, and finishing in the paint, you'll need to have a lineup where the SG/SF/PF is your primary ball handler.

I use him in my all-time Orlando Magic second unit, which consists of:

Jameer, Courtney Lee (90 moving three), Rashard Lewis, Hedo Turkoglu, Dwight Howard

I use Hedo as the PG in that squad and let him handle the ball all the time while Jameer just spots up for threes. The last game I played, Jameer had 14 points in 7 minutes:

Is Onyx Oscar worth the price of admission? I have Sapphire and he does exactly what I need, drive then dish, zip the ball to teammates, and knock down WIDE OPEN shots.

The increased speed, D, and Shooting has me interested.

What's a fair price, what's a good price, and what is highway robbery?

PS4, but wouldn't mind XB1 comparisons on prices too.

I've never tried the Sapph. but Onyx Oscar is a strong candidate for best PG in the game, with young Magic being the other main candidate. He's fantastic, does it all, and I've heard that the increase in speed is noticable. I've seen him for 70-80k on PC recently, just make sure you get him Thursday/Friday when prices are low.

Thanks for the reply and the feedback! Been scouting on PS4 and he looks like he is going for around 150k, May have to knock off work a bit early on Thursday if he is going for half that!

Lowest I have seen him at is ~90k.

Coincidentally, I just lit up a dude today with Onyx Jason Terry as my point guard.

My opponent was using gold LeBron as his point guard and was deploying a 2-3 zone trap defense the whole game.

But Jet came off the bench in the second quarter and did not miss a single three pointer the rest of the game.

LeBron finished with 11 points.

Haha, great stuff. Jet has lots of good badges including Closer and Spark Plug and a nice easy release. Fit well into my Mavs lineup with JKidd - Jet - Marion - Dirk - Chandler, I was usually able to hide him on defense as well.

I like bringing Onyx Jet off the bench because of his Spark Plug badge. But I'll also let him finish the game a lot of the time because of his Closer badge. So I basically play him in the second and fourth quarters, unless he gets hot like he did in the above game, in which case I'll play him the third quarter as well.

Onyx Jet is awesome, no doubt. But as spark plug and closer from the bench World B. Free is at least on the same level. He also has a swagger badge and when you give him an additional Microwave badge he will be hot all the time. He is a "Scoring Machine" and believe me he deserves that title.
