    Class Action 2K Lawsuit?

With news about how the RTTP game engine is rigged to allow for close games it really has intensified people spending hard earned money on VC to buy packs. The game should have had some warning for people that are prone to gambling about pack openings.

I feel like 2k is the Casino in this instance and they have fixed the game in order to maximize their earning on VC without a warning to those with addiction issues. It seems like a major oversight.

I, for one, am one of the people with an addictive personality and have spent way more on this game they I would like to admit. However, a simple warning seems warranted about the nature of gambling in pack opening and the likelihood of people with a gambling problem to become addicted to it

Anyone interested in joining me on this crusade for justice against 2k and their manipulation for profit

Why would I start a topic to troll?

I am serious. I have been reading up on the subject and spending any amount to be used for a game of chance constitutes gambling. So opening packs is a game of chance and I bet many would admit they get a thrill from pack opening similar to when/if they gamble.

Have you seen any disclsimer regarding gambling in regards to MyTEAM? Or a warning that there is an addictive potential to pack opening that could cause someone to spend more money.

I don't think close games are in any way related to people spending money on packs. People just buy packs to have a better team and even then they win or lose, close game or blowout, cheesing or not cheesing. If I were you, I'd stop playing 2k for a while and play a different game to calm down.

You're reaching here. By your logic, any card/pack opening game would constitute gambling. Might as well sue Pokemon cards while you're at it

Sadly, you have made valid points. I believe 2k (in pack pulls) festers on one's desires to chase after better cards. With a tinge of arrogance, 2K's verbiage around some of its packs (i.e. Onyx etc.), forewarns buyers of 'rare' pulls.

2k's arrogance goes further in actual pack pulling (within a single pack):
                • Multiple Coaches
                • Multiple Arenas
                • Multiple Badges
                • Multiple booster cards, but never multiple players. Obviously that is programmer controlled. We saw a programming error with Michael Jordan "Dunker" cards.

Also, how is that one can pull consecutive player cards (i.e. back-to-back) when there are hundreds and hundreds of players to pick from. What are the odds? Sadly again, getting consecutive player cards are more common than pulling rubies and onyx cards.

                • This weekend 600,000 VC purchased ($150) and one ruby card pulled as a result. Duplicate silvers and golds were seen in abundance.

There is something to the lure of MyTeam, I never anticipated spending over 10 times the cost of the game...

Instead of feeling good about 2k's game, a love\hate relationship has grown toward the game and company.

Packs are rigged. The fact that you get 2-3 duplicates in 10 packs makes you under. It is statistically unlikely. Also it is stupid how they have different type of packs. There should be 2-3 types with different amount of cards but same pool. Fut does a better job

I am not expecting a Lebron or MJ in every pack. Even though, I opened 10 packs last week and 3 were Gold Lebron.

I guess you would have to have a gambler's mentality to understand. I always get that, well the next pack will have something good feeling. I have pulled some great cards, but I always want something more.

In other words, its lack of self control and greed. If you've pulled great cards then why would you complain? Do you want them to limit the packs you can buy due to your inability to control your spending habits on virtual currency for a game that has a life span of a year before it becomes 100% worthless?

Every other game with UT modes has this, and no one has really complained. If you have disposable income and chose to spend it on packs, then go ahead. But you know what you're getting into. And if you know you always wana pull even more packs, then why start in the first place?

Casinos make a living because of this.

Unless you are a gambler, you can't know the feeling. It is sickness.

I am not bitching to bitch, but to point out a problem that I think should be addressed in future editions of the game.

You can choose to belittle me, but at no point did I not take responsibility for doing what I have done. I just think they have made this mode into a very addicting experience that can take advantage of shortcomings in one's makeup.

I've spent 30 grand on packs this year. As a result I'm now struggling to have enough money to eat and just pay for basic staples as I just want to get that Onyx T-Mac out of a pack. T-Mac is life.
