Why can't I add certain badges to players?

This is frustrating and doesn't make sense. I'm trying to add Lob City Passer to Paul George, and Scrapper to Deandre Jordan. Also it won't let me upgrade my Drop Step to Lebron James.

Are certain players glitched or something?

Drop stepper is indeed glitched, you need more than thre badges to max it out. LCP and scrapper shouldnt be glitched though.

Those badges are broken. When you badge one of them up you will lose a free slot. When you have used all of your free slots you can't upgrade these badges anymore.

I notice it's PLD is only broken if they come with a stock bronze badge...if you have players like onyx big O, he comes stock with a silver one and I was able to upgrade that with no problem and fill up the extra badge slots as well.

They seem to have fixed badges, at least kind of. When I got 89 MJ and badged him out, I was careful not to upgrade drop-stepper, as he comes with bronze drop-stepper and bronze PLD. I maxed out everything but drop-stepper and added two more gold badges, thinking that the third slot was gone since I upgraded PLD. But to my surprise I could add a third badge as well and level it up to gold. Drop-stepper won't upgrade anymore, but I can live with that.

Good to know. It seems like they fixed the PeLD badge. I just could give 89 Jordan his gold badge number 41.

Edit: They also fixed Post LD badges!
