Custom courts/jerseys is a terrible idea

Don't get me wrong but 2k has not thought it through.
It could be good as an idea, but the execution is really bad.

I have played guys with black pitch, black jerseys (even as home jerseys), it was like I was playing ninjas.

Court shouldn't be allowed to be black. You should have 2 jerseys that you can switch in a starting screen against your opponents to avoid clashing just like FIFA

Yeah, I'd think at some point they should basically give you a choice to allow them to use it. I've seen some that are awesome and some so over the top its a joke.

if it is in the game it is legal. It is 2k's fault. I can not blame the 13 year old kid that wants to exploit playing like ninja

I think the word "terrible" is a horrible exaggeration. It's one of the more original ideas in a long time. Adds a level of creativity not given to the user before.

I love my court and jersey as well but I would be okay to use it in domination only in order to avoid playing guys with black courts or white away jerseys. As I said it could be a great idea but the implementation is horrible. By the way I will be bored with my jersey in a month but I will stick with the jersey / court abusers for whole year. Not having a jersey selector is a joke when people can wear white away. And the idea is not original. Pro evolution had it too at myclub. However they were intelligent enough so if you had an edited jersey you would choose what jersey he would wear. So basically you were playing against each other but your TVs were not showing the same jerseys. If Konami could do it two years ago I am sure 2k can. Nba teams were white or yellow home jerseys for a reason.

I also agree it's a terrible idea. There's no need to fix the gameplay cheese and add a whole new realm of ridiculousness where you can't even see your players. Granted, not everyone abuses it, but I liked everything so much better when everybody had real jerseys. I completely understand this is a fantasy mode, but it's a bit over the top.

A jersey selector before the game would also go a long way. Maybe even throw up a screenshot of the court you're playing at pregame too. Adding in a 3rd alternate jersey to choose from would be a great idea as well.

This is all they need to do to solve the visibility issues.

Just lock in the home team's jersey/court cards before the game, and let the road team adjust their jerseys accordingly so there's not a color problem.

and then you get another issue on people choosing the same color on purpose.

both should agree with the selection.

These are issues that games like FIFA with millions of players wordwide have solved. Clashing kits is the first thing to consider in online sports games.

Hell it was the first thing they thought in REAL life sports as well

I really don't understand why we have to bother with such small things.
