2K is banning people for sniping

Its official now, they are banning people for sniping on the AH. Twitter is going crazy. Over 30+ people have tweeted that they were banned just tonight alone.

I don't snipe but this is crazy. How are people supposed to make MT? This can't be against the TOS because it's one of the mechanics of the AH. Look for low priced cards with value, buy them, and re-sell them at a higher price. It's basic market mechanics. Suppose you were banned from the financial markets for buying low priced, high value stocks and re-selling for profit???? Warren Buffett wouldn't be a billionaire if this was the case.

This is a disgrace to the entire community. The AH isn't even a market anymore. It's a controlled dictatorship ran by 2K which wants to force you to buy packs.

Doubtful it is for sniping alone. Most likely large influx of MT in a short period brought them to 2k's attention, making it look like they purchased MT which is against their TOS. If they've really done nothing wrong, they can fight it, and though it may take a while, can get their ban lifted.

Dude, when an influx of people get banned all in one night...it can't just be for having large amounts of MT. HanSolo got banned and everyone knows he makes his MT from sniping....everyone.

They are literally taking away one of the best parts of the mode for some people. Some guys just love working the auction house. Dont they realize that this is a big part of the mode? They are literally shooting themselves in the foot and killing their own mode.

Look at this? This guy only has 60K MT and he got banned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is madness

We'll see how it plays out in the end. A lot of those guys got a warning for illegal virtual currency transactions, and only a temp ban. That's what raises eyebrows. Sure some guys might be known for sniping, but that doesn't mean that their transactions don't make it look like they're doing something fishy. I personally would fight it. I'd make them prove it, or get some of the big dogs involved like the BBB. It's worked for guys on here, and I'm sure it would work for those that are indeed innocent. Even so, 30 or so people getting banned is a very small number compared the to the thousands of people playing the game. This does not indicate an epidemic. If all you are doing is sniping, then you should have nothing to worry about in the long run.

As for the 69k guy, there's no telling how much MT flowed through that account before the ban. Got to look at the big picture.
