Moments Jordan badges

Just bought a moments Jordan for 9k. This is what they go for but this one had 11 silver and 4 gold badges so pretty good deal. Total badges for him are 36.

It seems having 36 badges really helps. I feel this 81 rated Jordan outperforms higher rated guys i used by a lot and keep winning with him and silver pippen on my lineup. Just beat the jazz in domination by 20 pts and gained 800 mt while yesterday i lost using a much better team statistically.

So how important are badges?? And do personality badges have an effect (cant see them in myteam). Wall Jordan and silver Pippen arent brilliant defenders based purely on stats but i feel badges help a LOT

My starting 5

Wall (really want to like westbrook but keep having bad games with him)
Jordan (takes over games, even makes threes with only 55 rating?)
Silver Pippen
Greek Freak
Demarcus Cousins

Working my way through domination but best i got so far is 800 mt so need to step it up for the final few games. Still lot of room for improvements though :-)

Re: Moments Jordan badges

I find that badges make a significant difference, however, it is very hard measure, it's more of an instinct or feel that isn't shown in tangible statistical differences.

Some badges that I always notice a big difference, doesn't matter who the player is. Putting defensive or offensive crasher badges always makes me have better boxout, leaping ability, and sticky hands for grabbing rebounds. Someone with 70 rebound and crasher badge will outperform somebody with 90 rebound and no crasher badge. Also, screen outlet badge will increase shooting percentage coming off pick n pop by noticable difference. There are many more examples, but basically, don't sleep on badges.

Re: Moments Jordan badges

not sure how you play but to get more than 800mt you need to hit that ft and 3pt requirement.

Should also try to get an assist or post move bonus everytime. I would just run constant pnr cousins and quick post him to get ft or post move bonus. On d you want a turnover or let them take bad shots quick so you can fastbreak. These are the only ways you can get high mt later on.

Re: Moments Jordan badges

I think the one badge to add that is a must would be Dimer.

Moments isn't a good passer compared to ROTY, but he's still at least adequate. And because his 3-point shooting is horrendous and even his midrange only adequate, I think these young Jordans are often best when you run your offense through them: ISO to drive and kick or P'n'R into drive and kick. When you run P'n'R with him as the ballhandler, you'll see that at least CPU defenders will not respect his shot and sag way off, or will try to ICE you. If they ICE, it's actually fine because you can usually still just blow past the defenders and get to the paint, or at least collapse the defense. So it's great to do P'n'Fade with Jordan and a big who can shoot.

Any which way, he is ideal for dishing to open men after attracting two defenders, so: Dimer.

I put Bruiser on mine, which is something I didn't think of until JYoung pointed out that guards/wings who attack the basket will trigger the Bruiser badge a lot. The idea is that all that paint contact will sap the energy of your opponents starting SG. And Jordan and other good perimeter defenders who can defend aggressively will also trigger Bruiser on that side of the court.

Aside from that, other Badges to put on him could be:

Eraser: you may be defending other basket-attacking SG's with Jordan, in which case this comes in handy.

Brick Wall: for setting off-ball screens for perimeter shooters

Corner Specialist: if not the Moments, but ROTY version, he can knock down wide open corners and this just makes him more viable from there.

Maybe Offensive Crasher, but I don't think it's worth the slot. If you have Moments, I'd go with 1) Microwave, 2) Eraser, 3) Brick Wall.

Re: Moments Jordan badges

Good tips thanks everyone, i actually assist a lot and got 11/11 free throws and 50% from 3 (3/6)

Definitely need to do more post ups with cousins though only got 6 points that game with him.

Re: Moments Jordan badges

Moments Jordan is a great card, but at this point, the Rookie of the Year version is so cheap that you should just save up the extra MT and get one of those instead.

I found one on Xbox One fully badged the other day for 40,000 MT and replaced the Moments version that I've been using since release week.

Dimer and Bruiser are great badges to give him if you like to take the ball to the basket.

Re: Moments Jordan badges

firm believer in badges here. badges are not really meant to necessarily make a player better but it is to clearly define who that player's identity is. putting Dimer on a player who has bad passing accuracy probably isnt going to help you much. but if a player is adequate in that department it can further enhance that ability.

I put Dimer and Eraser on my Moments and ROTY, and cant remember but probably Bruiser. I like to put Bruiser on cards I use to post up with or attack the rim. I like to put Dimer on mostly anyone with speed and decent passing.

When I had Moments MJ I had pre-ordered so I badged him up immediately. Since ROTY is available now I would hold out on badging Moments to see if you could run across the ROTY version for a decent price.
