Bill Walton should have the same amount of badges as Joakim Noah.

Bill Walton should also have Dimer, Post Lockdown Defender, Flashy Passer, Post Hook Specialist, Screen Outlet and Eraser at the minimum.

Fix it now 2k. Bill Walton is one of the GOAT big man and 5 badges is disrespectful.

And he has no Personality Badges, which is ridiculous. They obviously did a copy-paste from the Celtics Walton, but even that Walton should have had more Badges...

This card is ridiculously good. Solid all around. I didn't even notice that he wasn't badged properly. I think sometimes we get to crazy and put too much emphasis on badges.

I mean we do, but 2k put us on it then didnt deliver. I am sure you have a friend somewhere right now that isnt expecting $100 from you....but you give him a call and tell him you are going to give him $100 and see what happens if you dont deliver. As long as its not expected its cool, once it does, its your responsibility to make good on that or you shouldnt have started it at all.

Maybe, but I don't think so. The Badges make a lot of difference. Having Break Starter, for example, could easily mean 1 or 2 less turnovers per game. Having Dimer could easily mean 1 or 2 made baskets that would have been misses. Defensive Anchor could lead to an extra steal. Add all the potential bonuses and...

The difference between having, say, 5 Bronze Badges and no Personality Badges, and having 15+ Gold Badges and several of the important Personality Badges is quite dramatic.

He is already an amazing player for the price. Complaining about the amount of badges that comes with a center whose stats are pretty amazing for 12k seems....

He certainly isn't on the top of the list of players they need to fix.

I actually packed him but surprisingly haven't used him this year despite the fact that his Onyx card was great for me last year due to '03 DPOY Wallace being the perfect backup center for me as I'll soon be getting Diamond Kareem.

Another thing, why tf is Amethyst '97 KJ 6'6"? He's 6'1" in real life.

I'm with you guys. Badges are great yes and I'm sure they make a difference even though we can't really quantify what that difference is for all of them. I'm also with you guys on 2k being super inconsistent in regards to this mode in general.

The point I'm trying to make is that a lot of this game is psychological. You think you need those badges but in reality you don't. Find the right balance for your roster, polish your skills especially on D and most importantly have fun with the team you've created. Then the wins will come. Badges are not the be all end all.

No, definitely not. I don't think anyone is saying that. It's a matter of Badges making a big difference and wanting for a player/card to play at its full potential. Especially if one is a fan of that player.

With Walton, the thing that bothers me most is that he's the best passing Center in the game and that's really intriguing. But without adequate badging, one is sacrificing a lot just for the playmaking. Differences in playing style notwithstanding, Historic Hakeem, badged up, is pretty much objectively better than Walton...probably so, even if one were to leave them with default badging.

In the end, yes, Walton is a really good card as he is right now. While recognizing this, 2K should not have made the same sloppy error with him as they have been making with many historic cards for something like six months now. This is bush-league beta-stage data-entry sloppiness.

And it's a false dilemma to phrase one's choice with fetishizing badges versus playing intelligently with a balanced lineup. One can recognize the value of badges and be annoyed with 2K's errors while also playing intelligently with a balanced lineup. It's not an either/or scenario.

He costs so cheap for a reason.
A 95 rated card with no badges doesn't perform any better with a fully badged up high end gold card. In that sense it makes no sense to release it.

His price doesnt justify him not having proper badges, neither does the rating of his card. Price is due to market crash. Just because market crashed doesnt change the fact that his badges were not done properly. How good he is nor his popularity shouldnt matter either, if it was MJ or somebody it'd be a different story.

Every broken player should be at the top of the list. Its that type of attitude that allows 2k to deliver a sub-standard product....on top of that you dont want to hold them to any accountability?

When I got upset and made that thread, at least they took notice initially and fixed some players. The attitude you give if is as if you got the game for free and you dont play it at all. Someone out there was waiting on this card and they supported 2k by buying the game and they should be treated like the loyal customer they are by having these issues addressed. Being that the game has limited shelf life, then they should be addressed sooner rather than later.

It's not about Bill Walton.

The MVP packs/collection was probably the most anticipated one.

We are talking about the best players of specific seasons. The most elite years of their careers.

a) Yet many players have few to zero bades both mentally and normal ones which makes no sense.
b) Other players have same model as current players. MVP rose has the same hair as the current card.

All in all, it's not like they are producing these players for free.

They want us to spent $ on VC to buy these packs.
So they should really show some professionalism and produce a final product.

As synistr stated there are numerous issues with cards with wrong badges or badges that are not working.

If you played/remember badges were not updating also in the beggining of the year and ALSO last year...

Does it makes sens that you mess up in the same area for 2 years in a row?

Would this ever happen to FUT for example?

yeah, all I want is a finished product. a quality product. some of the players had the correct badges last year and are missing them this year. a lot of these issues come from cut-and-paste approach. individual attention wasnt given to a lot of cards. why does Cowens and Gilmore have some of the same identical stats? some people dont care, but I do. I want a good game for me and for everyone who takes their purchase seriously. MVP Kobe needs his badges updated. but by that logic....14 badges should be enough for a great card right?
