Gold DR Lillard

Has anyone used him to provide review?

His price has gone down (you can get one for 25k fully badged up)

Is he worth it? I am thinking of replacing Kyrie (in my self-restricted line-up). Kyrie is a better shooter with better ball control,

I never used Lillard this year but in 2k15 he was by far my best card.

I can think that his driving combined with strength/dunk and draw foul will make him superior than Kyrie.

Also I believe he will be better defender vs the RoseWallbrooks of this world due to strength. Also a better passer.

That said his 3pt shooting worries me a bit. I take wide open 3s only and I have tried a current card of him to check his release. It is same as ast year so very easy.

BUT it is important for me the 3 pt shoot to create space for pick n rolls for LBJ and AD. Also to force my opponent to play tight/deny my PG , feed AD and then run a manual cut for an easy lay-up.

Has anyone used him? Is the 82 combined with his easy realese sufficient/reliable?

2 open 3s that go in or miss can change a whole game.

I had him for quite a bit and imo he's better than Kyrie, depending on the playing style of course. As you mentioned, the slashing and dunking ability combined with a little better defense and a lot more strenght (worse lateral quickness tho) is a huge advantage.
Due to the easy release the 3 ball is good enough that you cant sagg off. Also, he knocks down open 3s consistently if hes not cold.
He has the volume shooter badge tho, so you need to take some shots with him. On the other hand he also has floor general, which is a big plus imo.

I never had issues with volume shooter badge. I distribute the ball a lot.

My main line-up is equivelant in roles as my self-restricted.

Curry takes enough shots, MAINLY as people deny him with manual cuts.
Mitch will take a lot of shots after picks and Kicks when my opponent plays protect the paint or normal. Durant is my offensive outlet, LBJ runs all plays and Davis as the only paint player usually is my first scorer every game.

So generally I do not believe I will face any issue with the volume shooter badge.

Thanks for the heads up

Re: Gold DR Lillard

on XB this weekend I saw him mostly badged with all the essential golds for 12k. I wouldve picked him up but I just dont need him. I had him twice before and sold him for profits. The current gold is awesome. This one even better.

for whatever reason for me, Kyrie's shot is less consistent though he has better ratings.

his defense isnt nearly a liability because he is so potent on offense. he really can do it all. for me he his not better than Wall but he is better than Kyrie. Volume Shooter for some players is a non issue. Lillard and Melo are prime examples. They have such great animations you have to get them some looks.

If you are replacing Kyrie he is definitely worth it.

Kryie better and it's not even close imo, don't look at stats, look at players animation, Kyrie got the best size up/my park/stage speed burst Iso moves, then he got a quick shot, can finish at the paint very well. Gold Kyrie better than most diamond guards due to his animations.

I love Kyrie too, but to me he is a liability in defense plus I would like him to be more strong on the drive

And no offense but your nick suggests you might be a liiiiiiitle biased

I was waiting for a thread like this to start. I have DR Lillard and love his game. In gauntlet I shoot well over 60% from deep with him. In RTTP I shoot around 50% or more. He's one of the few players that plays well above his rating. His hot spots at the elbow along with corner specialist fully equipped makes him a reliable shooter. His release is quick but easy to time. For some reason I have been shooting really well with and tend to get better looks. His acceleration boost he got recently makes him VERY dangerous. I get a lot of clean looks in isolation situations. When he drives it's nearly automatic. He finished very well at the rim! I've posterized many elite big men and made many contested layups. He also draws a lot of fouls so don't be afraid to draw contact at the rim.

I tried his amethyst moments card and found it very inconsistent and slow. Even when I play against his moments card with my DR version, I outplay my opponent. DR rating doesn't have the wildcard badge so his offence becomes a lot more reliable.

On defense you need to be focused and locked in. I user him most of the time on defense and he gets the job done adequately. Nothing special but his strength alone will slow down drives, make sure you give your opponent some space in case they drive, and always stay close enough to contest the shot.

Overall DR Lillard, is a lot of fun to use. When he's hot, he's unstoppable. Green releases are frequent from the corners and elbows, and his driving ability is among the best in the PG category. He's a solid gold player and one of the few who can be used in the unrestricted seeds with lots of success. I would just just keep athletic defenders around him to alleviate his deficiencies on defence. I sold MVP Oscar about a week ago and don't really miss him at all. My current PG rotation includes: AS CP3, DR Wall, and DR Lillard.

SN: Lillard plays well with Lebron. I have TBT Lebron and when those two are on the floor, scoring is too easy. Try using heat motion with motion cuts. Lots of spacing and the two seem to feed off each other a lot. I also equip Lillard with a +6 speed. 94 speed and 93 quickness makes him an athletic monster. John wall has 97 speed and 90 quickness. So that puts Lillard on par athletic wise with the speed shoe. Lillard also has a better vertical and ball control. I still use both but Lillard packs a mean punch on offense. Off the bench, Lillard can easily be your top scorer and floor general. I've never had issues with him having volume shooter but I do surround him around solid defenders and solid shooters. I mainly drive and kick, call plays (fist horns 91 and some floppy), isolation, and P&R. Easily scores 15 points for me off the bench. I also play in the 1st seed in RTTP as well.
