I was wondering about this, specifically. Thanks for write-up. Will give Playoffs Lowry a shot.

The Request a Review of a Player Thread

I would also like to give everyone a heads up about Playoff Marcus Smart. In my current lineup he comes off the bench and plays the SG spot while rotating with Playoff Lillard at the PG spot.

Marcus Smart is a pitbull on defense and has one of the easiest releases in the game. He's one of the best gold 3&D PGs I've come across. On defense his size at the SG spot has never been a problem. Playoff Derozan, Harden, and few others have never outmatched him. With his solid rebounding and boxout for a guard, he's first to grab misses and failed shot attempts when there are no big man present. I love when people call iso and think they can take him since he's a gold card haha. In those instances, it's an instant rebound and easy transition points. He's also a good post defender for the position as well so there's no need to worry about Wade or even Oscar for that matter. I gave him bruiser and post lockdown defender so scoring on him requires creativity on the ball handlers part. He even defended moments Lillard last night and held him to terrible shooting numbers. Smart is a pest and his hustle shows on the floor every game. Offensively, I recommend giving him a speed shoe. With a speed shoe he's very fast and perfect for driving opportunities surprisingly. I like backing down and posting up smaller guards, with his 94 standing layup and strength it's an automatic two points at the rim in iso situations. His mid is not reliable and some would say is dunk animations are boring. I love it because he never gets blocked from behind by doing anything fancy. Like Biyombo he's a specialist. Don't try anything fancy or use him like a Wade or Wallbrook card. His ball control is solid and passing is good enough for the "smart" pass (no pun intended). I suggest putting him in a lineup with two other shot creators. He's not that popular so a lot of people just ignore him. Huge benefit about Smart, is that he feeds off big plays and heats up quickly. I have witnessed this on many occasions and when he's hot, watch out! So if your looking for a Gold 3&D guard with solid athleticism and can make all the right hustle plays, then make the "smart" choice.

I play him with Iverson in starting 5, fits like a glove.

Re: The Request a Review of a Player Thread

How is Amethyst Vince? I noticed his diamond card came out today but I only have like 140k. I would have waited(if this had been months ago) until his diamond card hits a much more reasonable price(and saved up) but I'm all about having fun at this point and I don't feel like waiting around. I have Playoffs Harden at SG. So this isn't exactly a situation where I need Vince but more of is he fun to use question.

In the last two months I've sold TBT Diamond Kobe and last few days Diamond MVP Jordan(first time since the game came out that I haven't had him in some form) to help get of these Playoff cards.

He obviously is a monster at the rim and can also shoot at a high level. If he has runway, he'll launch hard, but despite his high speed and acceleration, I feel like his handles and maybe animations make it a little hard to create via ISO with him, unless you're doing stuff like the "go one direction, then half spin the other direction".

He's not terrible on D, in that he can stay in front of guys, more or less. But his presence doesn't seem to have all that much impact on their shots...e.g. poor Shot Contest.

He's fun, but I'd rather go with a more rounded guy like AS Mitch.

I sold mine, Harden is better in offense, and Demar Derozan playoffs is better amy in my opinion and more cheap.

Having played with Amethyst Vince he was too expensive for his abilities. He scores both from shooting AND driving which not many people do, but looked like a liability on D. Especially with Curry as PG. Maybe with a different PG he would perform better.

Re: The Request a Review of a Player Thread

Every Kawhi card comes with much higher value than the price. It seems to me that there arent as many Kawhi fans as of some other players judging by the price of his cards. His DR card was about the most expensive card per value. All of his cards are tremendous, but Diamond may be the best value...and thats tough to say because DPOY is so good.

But that Diamond? whew. for whatever reason, it feels like he finishes non-contact better than mvp LBJ. and it seems as they finish thought contact about the same. but he is fast high flyer on offense who can not be left open from deep. On D, he's your guy to lockdown wings. So athletic. I dont know of a better 3-D card in the game. Draymond is a beast but on the break is where the separation is. Kawhi is good money on the wing in transition.

I picked him up for 99k when he was still going for around 140k and was gonna flip him and buy him back when price dropped but made the mistake of playing with him and just couldnt part with him.
