I had this issue too on the ruby league seeing different colours

The first time i played I could SWEAR that my opponents were playing in lower difficulty.

Having said that, it could be that the distance from sapphire league in ruby league (thus the difference between all-star and superstar level) can be big.

Maybe you (amd I inmy first try) are used to a style of play that is more forgiving but in SS level you can't get away with. Maybe your opponents have played more games in superstar level and they aremore used to the difficulty

The pre-game gem indicator does seem to be bugged at times. Usually for me it reads a league higher than the one I am actually in.

There is a lot of momentum built into the game, to me it feels like even more than last year. All I can advise is that you get badges on your most used players and stay calm during each game, using timeouts generously if you're struggling. Some games will start very poorly for me and you can't let it snowball or get away from taking high % shots and valuing every possession.
