Pulled Westbrook on my first pack of the afternoon.

So, if I understand correctly, these cards are all essentially 'dynamic' cards and will go up as the season goes on (based on player performance) ?

That's not how I understand it. But I think there will be new versions of cards released so they needed more room to grow, so to speak. If they adopt the Madden Ultimate Team method, you will have 89 OVR All-Pro base players who then get Team of the Week versions at like 92 OVR, some Thanksgiving promo version of 94 OVR, and some end of season promo for 97 OVR, etc. At least that's sort of the model for most of the higher-tier players.

If true, that sucks.

If that is the case, why the hell would I waste VC/MT buying packs right now when I can wait and get better players?

I opened about 20 packs and got LBJ, John Wall, Andre Drummond, and Kyle Lowry twice. Best luck I've had with these packs.

Because the higher OVR versions will be much harder to pull and their auction prices will reflect that. You gotta get the best team you can at each step of the way...
