MyTeam 2k17 line-up suggestions/ advice thread

what does it mean when a players grade is in red (I'm assuming it means lower than normal) but why does this happen. Currently affecting Lou Hudson's Playmaking (red B) and Charles Oakleys Perimeter defense (red C). If anyone has any info on this i'm curious

I will think about that later, when the currents player value is nearly 0. But in general I am pretty sure that 2k will try to SELL better players (via packs) than the ones they will give for free. 2k15 collection mistake (you could get rich buy completing one current team at a time, get a 25k bonus, sell all players back etc, then historic complete the collection, get the sapphire version of the player, sell the collection) was a lesson well learned for them

Foldzy check if they are dynamic duos or something, Remove one from the line-up and see if something happens

It just really depends on play style and a player's preferred players. He only makes sense if you want to slash to the rim...pretty much if you want to ISO him. Or, at the least, if he's your facilitator and is ball dominant...so, essentially, playing point.

Which, frankly, is what he's often playing in real life. He's a 2, but he's the point guard for many possessions.

He's potent enough on offense to play, obviously, but a lot of people are just not going to truly run the offense through him because he's a 2 and we're all used to running it through the 1. (And there's a community bias about playing guys "out of position"...LBJ at PG, of course, but even Jordan at 1.)

In real life, it would make sense to have him paired with at least a 1 and a 3 who are strong defensively. It's kind of academic if he's the 1 or the 2. You just make sure that you pair him with two perimeter guys who can guard the opponent's two best offensive perimeter guys, particularly guys who can slash/ISO.

But if you prefer to move the ball around and have shooters take shots after getting opened up by screens and movement, then there's not a lot of reason to play him instead of, say, a PG who can slash to the basket but who isn't as big a defensive liability as Harden is.

Guys just a quick question about my lineup in my signature. Currently I have 3 ball dominant players which look a lot for me. Strangely due to speed and strength curry looks to be less
Effective than harden and LBJ as playmaker and harden is my best offensive player. I am currently considering putting Harden as Pg and move Quentin in starting lineup.

I play 4-1 with a lot of pick n roll
What do you think? Any other suggestions?

You could swap Bron and Kawhi and let Bron be 'the guy' on the second unit. He's pretty useless if he's not the primary option, in my experience.

He is my all time fav though...
This is why I want to reduce my ball dominant guys to 2.

I will test and see.
I hope the relentless finisher badge fix that Beluba issued has improved his finishing in the rim because I agree, he was only good defensively
