can you explain this more for people who can't get on 2k right now
Derek Harper/Steph Curry Stackhouse/Q. Richardson/J. Richardson Sean Elliot/Shane Battier Larry Johnson/Charles Oakley/Josh Smith George Mikan/James Edwards/Bill Walton
So I just bought a box of tbt. First thing to mention, you can only spend MT points on individual packs. For boxes, you must spend VC. Not sure how I feel about this.
My box was lit AF. Almost every pack was emerald, sapphire, or ruby. I got Kevin Willis ruby, Josh Smith sapphire, Isaiah Rider emerald, Steve Smith sapphire, and Jason Williams emerald. Really happy with the pulls!
Edit: The Josh Smith card has amazing stats! 83 Offense, 91 Defense. Has crazy athleticism, defense, rebounding, and something like 77 3 ball. Damn!
me and a friend came to a conclusion that this is because of MT selling sites that "ruined" the game economy last year
in my opinion it was beter than buying VC last year <_<
It was, because it was cheaper per $ and also cheaper in terms of what one bought.
I don't really care either way. I won't spend real money and will just do the best I can do with AH flipping.
But this today's sale makes very clear that 2K just wants to chase after in-game payments. To guaranty a special card as a bonus for buying the super-expensive box version is very blatantly pay-to-play and, for the last couple years, there has never been any sort of guaranty of what one would get in a box.
And making it purchasable through VC only is blatantly saying that you must buy this for cash. Because nobody has had enough time to build up 150,000 VC in the game yet, and even if they did, they would have been primarily doing it in MyCareer.
It's not possible to make VC in MyTeam, so selling boxes only for VC in MyTeam is basically telling hardcore MyTeam users: your success by grinding in game and working the AH will always be capped in a way that will not be the case for those who are giving us money.
