Defensive Settings to avoid points in the paint?

Hi guys,
What are you defensive settings to avoid points in the paint (from ruby league onwards)

I have my defenders on Tight in shooters, and even with shrink the floor, my paint looks like an open highway.

I have assist strength on 50

Are there any other tips?

Check out SamPham's latest 2 videos, you'll get proper help defense with them.

I have seen the videos

It is good stuff but with a very negative side (at least for me)

All these micromanagment takes at least 90 seconds or more, given the fact that all set different settings an on-ball and off-ball defense and screens for players.

This is not viable as if I use 90 seconds or more at the start of the game I have absolutely no time to pause the game for any additional change I might need.

Can't you do everything you need to do in timeouts? You'll get much faster over time, too. The settings that fix rotations only take like 20s in total, 4 changes on the first page and 2 changes on their 2-3 Cs.

Try setting all the screens to go under, and the hedges to stay attached. This way any drives or rolls into the paint will be covered. If the opponent gets wise to it just user on ball and go over the screens if they start shooting 3s.

'Stay attached' makes the big stick to his man so he can't pick & pop, which means he doesn't help on the drive. So if the ball defender gets stuck in the screen or can't make it in time, the paint will be wide open.

I use go under and no hedge

I switch to go over in good shooters. This of course has the risk of the fades. You got to pick your poison I guess
