Price crash wow

I spend a bit of time on AH and wow at these card prices.

People ripping packs very hard right now, market flooded.

No one bidding and BIN's are very low.

Where do i start, ruby lbj 43k, klay 49k, ruby kobe not selling at 70k, etc.

Looks like prices have literally dropped 20% in 24-36 hrs.

Ruby harden didnt sell at 15k.

Ruby kat up for 47k bin and that will most likely be too high in another 8 hours.

Ruby klay sold in 20mins for 51k bin...

Not sure if its a sub market drop?

Ammy lbj still holding, some sapphires like pg13 still high teens low 20's.

Interesting watching.

Ruby's are the new Sapphire's. A lot of the hardcore collectors have been advising ppl to sell their collections before Christmas since the game came out

What do you mean? So guys going for higher count collections, say 1000+, to buy up their collections as much as possible before and then sell it all prior to xmas?

There were definately a couple posters saying that, one guy got up to Jerry West and said he was selling off... I'm gonna trust he knows a little better than I do as he got that high in the first place!

What I wonder is if things go even lower once we hit Christmas and whole influx of new players ripping packs to get caught up.

Happens every year at this time. More people get the game. More people buying packs because they haven't been burned by two months worth of bad odds. More people flooding the market trying to get that MT to build their collection.

There will likely be an upswing around New Years, but prices will never be as high as they were. Rubies will fall to the teens and low twenties. Sapphires will be 5k and below. Golds and below will be 90% quick sell. Even the Amethyst will drop to the 50s and 60s as more Diamond content becomes available.

The final straw will come around May / June when the season and playoffs have started to wind down. Those last few that were going for PD Kobe will have finally got him and will start to sell off everything but their favorite few cards, again flooding the market and driving prices down. They'll only start to rise again once everyone has put their preorder in for 2K18. And then the cycle starts all over again.

Crash probably won't have much effect on expired theme/ historic pack contents

Oh I don't think so, the rewards for those collections are not worth finishing at this point. Ruby Jason Richardson/Jason Williams?

I believe the collections with diamond rewards that are not in packs will keep higher value
