Which Theme Collection reward?

Currently sitting on enough MT to finish 1 theme.

I'd like to get any of the Dream Team players, except maybe Clyde. But that could change with some persuasion.

Which one is MOST LIKELY to compete till the end of the season?

Here's what I have.
Diamonds:
LJ
Butler
Lucas
Hudson

Ammys:
Durant
Stack
Cousins
Haywood
Yao
Kobe
Magic

Also occasionally using rubies such as Rodman, Hondo, Lin and Prince. Gary Payton is my starting PG.

KD and Boogie are here to stay. 1St or 2nd unit doesn't matter. But they are my most consistent players. As well as Butler.

So take all of this into consideration....as well as the diamonds and ammys in the actual collection. I could honestly make something work from any of the collections, but I would like maybe a lockdown C. Or elite distributor. Which the current theme would prob cover....Kidd and Wilt.

Thoughts? Run Pace Motion w PF as my main screener (pick puts boogie in corner). And I don't do a lot of scoring with my PG.

Should also mention that I don't use any of the rewards regularly....Stack, LJ, Lucas, Lin. Rodman sees more time than any other PF.

Sorry if my thoughts are scattered. Brainstorming lol

I'd finish the Wingmen set.

I haven't used Pippen yet but I feel like you get the most bang for your buck by adding Pippen, Penny, and Tmac to your team.

While I think Robinson has been really really good, the Lockdown set only adds 1 PF and 1 C to your team if you keep Cousins.

Re: Which Theme Collection reward?

Only set I completed for Dream Team is Wingmen. As the poster above said....it's gotta be adding Pip which also means Penny and Tmac. Hell if you started those 3 at PG/SG/SF you'd be set. You can bring Jimmy off your bench now and really have a deep squad. Not to mention a lot of people like Amy Pau if you want to try him out.

I have Rose, Kidd, 3 Amy's and all rubies for All Around....and I'm still not gonna complete it. That tells you how I feel about the Clyde reward. I just don't want it bad enough and wouldn't use him in my lineups.

Re: Which Theme Collection reward?

I think you have some options.

Robinson - best overall collection reward in my opinion. But the rest of the set only gives you maybe 2 role players (West, one of the big men) that will really stay in your lineup. Boogie/Robinson front court would be hard to stop.

Pippen - Helps in the many places because you get T-mac, Penny, and maybe Gasol would enter your lineup. But still really expensive because of T-mac and Penny.

Clyde - Some people have problems with his shot but I think his stats are better overall than Pippen. Gives you Rose, Kidd, and Wilt who can all make your lineup. Maybe even Bird too (Kidd/Rose and Wilt P&R with Bird in the corner would be great and that play doesn't even include Clyde). This gives you the most lineup flexibility.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those 3.

I had 350K & blew almost all of it on USA David Robinson, but don't regret it in the least.

Re: Which Theme Collection reward?

I just want to say that David Robinson is a beast. Just got him last night and he is a F#$#$#ING Fortress!!!(James Franco reference) I faced Yao and shaq in MTO it was hopeless they could not back this dude down plus Gold pick pocket helps well and HOF defensive stopper he is the perfect counter for 7foot cheese. I don't have enough to finish wingmen lol Tmac is just going for absurd amounts.

I actually love Clydes release...its amazing with his step back...creates too much space and is smooth. Very similar to Dominiques.

Anyway id go with Robinson..he can do everything. I have every single team USA player and Robinson and maybe magic make the biggest difference as far as mismatches.

Re: Which Theme Collection reward?

So I'm super-analytic. Lol. Here goes.

I'm 1 card away from completing a set. Just need to wait for auctions.

I didn't have enough for wingmen or all-around.
Playmakers Magic isn't necessary. Point guards are abundant. I have the amethyst.
Droppin 50 is a booty set with a killer reward. Tempting, but not with current prices.

So I decided on Lockdown. Admiral will start at C. With either Rodman or Russell at the 4. I can push Boogie to the bench squad and use the other of the Bill/Rodman that doesn't start. If everything I've read is true, this will got my style perfectly. C with range. Bully at the 4 to set screens and get boards, that can also guard the perimeter.

I shoot a good amount of corner 3s with Boogie. I'm around 80 games w him, and he's still shooting over 57% outside. Can I expect reliability from the arc with Robinson? Not terribly concerned. I plan to add Corner Specialist to him.

As a secondary "Twin Tower" option, I will run Dikembe at the 5 and Robinson at the 4.

Tell me what you think of my plan.....Thanks to all who have replied so far. Even those who recommended a different set. It took me a good few hrs to make the decision. Lol.

Thx guys
