He won't be the centerpiece of an offense but he does everything well, and is an awesome rebounder for a wing.
FYI Prince's defensive performance is from his ratings and normal badges. Defensive Anchor buffs teammates, not the badge holder.

And Baylor is very nice, with that HoF Difficult Shots. He's sort of like a DeMar on roids.

Re: Gems of players in myteam

Amethyst Cousins was my #1 until I completed Lockdown for Robinson. His jumper is so fast. His dunks are unstoppable.

Aside from Robinson almost always coming through, here are some of my favorites....

Diamond Kidd (just got him, but he is exactly what I want in a PG. And he can Lockdown Magic in the post with Rim Protector badge)

Diamond Dikembe. I just love this dude. I put a Stamina +9 Jordan on him, and hes good to go. I find that he performs better when hes NOT in my starting lineup. The only time I start him over Robinson is when I match against a Yao cheeser.

Amethyst Durant. Hes my offensive machine. I equate this card to last years MVP and 2k15 KD. Butter release. Not bad on D. Hustle Rebounder badge. Fast on the break, and always good for a fastbreak dunk or transition 3.

Amethyst Kobe. All-around awesome card. Esp for the MT. Does everything really well. Wish I put Dimer on him tho.

Ruby Giannis. When Kidd needs a break guarding Magic, hes at the 1. When I feel like ruining someone in transition, hes at the 5. Probably the most versatile card Ive used. With already great speed, slap Corner Specialist and a 3shoe on him, and he can hit the open corner 3. Draws fouls like no one else. And his FT rating is exceptional. Almost always greens.

Ruby Josh Smith...He was my favorite card for a while. Catch and Shoot, along with some other shooting badges, can make him absolutely deadly outside the arc. Nice quick release too. Finishes like a beast. Great dunks too.

Ruby/Amethyst Rodman
..****by was in my squad for a very long time. Got the reward just a few days into the game. Now that I have Lockdown set, Amethyst (with some improvements-FT in particular) is my go-to off the bench for defending anyone from the 2-4. Put him next to Dikembe or Robinson, hes a blast. With Russell, its non-stop fastbreak. Relentless Finisher, Posterizer, and hes got godly HOF badges (DS, Rim Prot, Rebounder, Chase down), and good personality badges too. Just because he isnt 9feet tall, or doesnt shoot the 3 (although hes got hot zone in left corner with a 62 open 3 lol), he gets overlooked big time. I rarely face-off against someone using him. And mine does nothing wrong. No complaints whatsoever.

I'll go even further, I would rather have a badged up sapphire Gordon Hayward than Amy Lebron this year, based on performance.
I have him now for the 3rd time. LOL. I felt exactly the same until the most recent. I put Dimer on him, among others, and I use him for the point forward he is. I dont rely on deep 2s or 3s w him. He runs the break like an animal. Great speed and explosiveness. Add pink KD Xmas +6 spd/swb shoe...money. Awesome on the drive. And once you can nail his FT release, that low rating isnt so much of a liability. Hes shooting over 85% last time I checked. Size, strength, good passing stats, solid defender, etc. And FWIW, I am the antithesis of a Lebron fan IRL. lol.

Hes certainly not the Lebron that I WANT, but he stomps over just about anyone else at the 3. I never run him at 4, but with the proper badges, I think he would do well.

At work so I cant check stats.....but in my last few games, hes pulled a few boards, gotten steals, contributed with 4+ assists, etc. Jack of all trades. He also hits at least 1 3pter per game. Clutch blocks...etc.

As far as Kawhi....I think anyone that wants a Lebron card for a pure SF that can 3 and D, Kawhi is the man. But Kawhi isnt going to run the floor. His release is a tad slow for my taste. And while Diamond Kawhi was easily my favorite card last year, the inconsistent FTs w him this year irritate me. Esp for someone that now has a FT rating above 90.

If you want elite D and more reliable outside shooting, Kawhi all the way. If you want someone to be a second guy that can run the offense, can do everything pretty well...Lebron.

Re: Gems of players in myteam

My MTO performance changed drastically when I picked up Amethyst Kobe. My team is full of good defenders who can contribute efficient offense in limited roles, but lacked a true go-to shot creator.

The Kobe I picked up came with the +9 speed/acceleration/speed with ball diamond shoe that makes him 99/99/99 in those three categories. He's capable of creating enough space to get off a clean J or clear path to the hoop the majority of the time, and although he isn't quite an elite finisher or midrange shooter, he's good enough at both that the defender can't cheat either way. Also, his driving dunk animations are ridiculous.

I max badged him up to 14 gold badges by adding PNR Maestro, Acrobat, Catch & Shoot, Corner Specialist, and Defensive Stopper. So far through 23 MTO games he's averaging 17.4 PPG in 10.3 MPG on 62.1% shooting and 43.8% on 3's, and I know I still need to put in work to really master him on offense.

Nice find. He's a fav of mine. He and Magette can tear up a slow opponent.

Magette is another gem. Cheap AF. Plays a lot like Kobe. Sf but I usually run him at 2. Unless he and Kobe are on the floor together.

Ruby Karl Malone. To this day he remains the best and most consistent player on my roster. When he is on the floor I have so much confidence in his ability to run the offense through him. The amount of messages I have gotten from people after games talking about Malone feasting on them, lol.

I don't care if the meta is for quick stretch 4s. I win my games playing a traditional 3-2 offense with slow PF who are weak-ish perimeter defenders.

So let me ask something about this. I often run a 3-2 with 2 post players. Most games, this works great. Somebody has a mismatch and can score. But some games it seems like the 2 post players are both crowding the basket and even if I fake out my guy the other comes over to contest and the spacing is too tight to really pass it off.

What freelance or plays do you run to keep your post players spaced appropriately and not in each other's way?

p.s. on a side note, Willis Reed is my go-to PF and he absolutely dominates in that position. He's got a good post game, good defender, is fast, and absolutely dunks on people. Not sure if a free 95 overall is considered a gem but I don't see anybody using him and nobody is talking about him so I'll throw this in here.

Re: Gems of players in myteam

Just got Jokic last night for 38K on XB1. He debuted for my team in the final regular domination game against MT all stars....

Dude had 33/8/3/2/1 in 14 minutes!!! I started Boogie but Jokic was so good I gave him extra tick. What a beast. Gotta know how to use him but he has a lot to offer.
