Last year, I got 1 amethyst in 4 boxes....A 95 Rick Berry.

This year in 4 boxes........All rubies. Not even a freakin' George Mikan.

How have you guys pulled these cards? All I wanted was to pull a solid card for just a little MT, but not even that is possible.

Sorry to hear this mate. I opened up two boxes and got two ruby box toppers. Only rubies for the first box. My second box was much better! Picked up Diamond Howard and Amy Mikan - why not any of the others

Might be worth noting that I purchased the 450k VC bundle that was on sale ($100 AUD). I am itching to open some more boxes but I think that I will wait. Very tempted to buy the VC while it is on sale and just leave it there as well... I'll probably just spend it though. I hate how 2k have me by the balls.

Don't bother with the box topper packs. I opened a ton of them and got nothing but ruby's. Eventually I got Vince but I would agree that the odds are not good and especially horrible on the box topper. Not worth the extra vc to get a ruby. Saw some online videos that showed good 10 pack results.

Any time there's a VC sale coming off a new pack theme you can bet money odds are going to be trash. You can see that from a mile away

I had decent luck with 3 10 pack boxes. Pulled MJ and Chambers in the 1st, only got a ruby in the 2nd and got BG in the last box.

Last year I learned that 2K doesn't deserve my money after I spent 2 grand of REAL MONEY on the AS and MVP packs and my best pull was ONE...ONE current Curry and then EVERY SINGLE OTHER PULL WAS A SILVER! SILVER! Out of hundreds of packs I got ONE card that wasn't silver in a theme that only have Amy and up and the card wasn't even a part of the set.

So if this is true, their next logical step would be to raise the odds for right after the sale. Get people excited to buy again (at full price) because it seems like the next packs are lit.

So if you're going to spend money anyway, and you believe in 2k manipulating the odds, buy VC on sale but don't spend it until the next packs.

(note: I have no clear evidence either way that 2k is manipulating packs, just trying to predict what the right strategy would be for 2k if they are manipulating pack odds)

Yeah I was beyond mad at the time never gonna make a mistake like that again. But I was naive and had won 60k on slots figured I didn't have anything else to use it on so why not spend a bit of it on Mt since i used to play it so much. Well I learned my lesson.

I opened one 20 All-Star box with a topper, and my topper was Ruby Kenneth Faried. I did however, pack Diamond Dwight Howard in one of the box packs! And before that box, I did a regular 20 box pack and packed my first Diamond ever, James Harden!

Man when I read this stuff and how people spend all of their time playing the AH or see friends grinding badges all day....it makes me wonder why I even considered buying VC last night. I was close, 2k is good at frustrating you sometimes and out of boredom you buy VC.

This is why pack odds have to be released. 2k can raise and lower odds at their discretion for any pack/any time. But odds have to be disclosed.

The only issue would be Amy Isaiah Thomas vs Amy Butler or Onyx Wilt vs Onyx Kidd, one is clearly better than the other.

Honestly, I knew about the pack odds during sales thing long ago and considered it for this sale....but WHY. I don't support shady practices.

I got lucky and pulled Dwight in two boxes. Stopped there and am going save the rest of the VC I bought for later.

Edit: 2K totally changed the odds last year after the All Star packs so I am hoping they do something similar this year.
