Can you lose/demote yourself within a prestige to get a missed reward?

So I'm in Sapphire 3rd prestige going for the diamond shoe. It took me a few tries in Emerald to finally get one due to people quitting and 2k handing me the loss. I think I'm just gonna advance here on out if possible.

I wanna know though if I do end up losing one and advancing to go for Tim can I lose/demote myself back to Sapphire later and go for the shoe if I wanted to?

Once you have prestige can you go back to a previous level of prestige to get rewards you didn't get last time. Like if you skipped the original level top rewards in the ruby section and you prestige 2 times could you lose a whole bunch of games to get back to the original ruby stage again or are you stuck in the 2nd prestige?


Hope I asked the question clearly. Pretty hard to describe. I'm trying to decide if I leave rewards on the table now or not.

You can't go back to a previous prestige, just to prior league within the same prestige.
