Kawhi/Duncan Duo not working properly

The dynamic duo gives Kawhi a 92 ball control but he still can't speedboost. This has to be a bug in the code as everything else seems to be working.

This leads me to the question that are these duos boosts even real at all?
2K needs to fix this.

Wow. Good eye! That's actually a really big deal. I hope there aren't any other duos not working properly...

I know that duo boosts work in at least one category, free throws. Both Shaq and my DJ are money from FT with the duo. And I can DEFINITELY feel the effect of DeRozan's improved 3pt.

That kawhi is worrisome though... how can you tell if someone can speed boost? I know 86 is the threshold, but I've tried looking it up and doing it with players like Goodrich or Rondo but I can never really tell if it's working.

Hmmm you might be onto something I had Kawhi and the duo just didn't feel good maybe it wasn't even working. Lol

I mainly let go of him though because I have Magic/Dr J and will have KD soon not gonna have a spot for him. I wanted it to work with Kawhi at the 4 and Tim at the 5 but Timmy doesn't play well there for me for some reason even though he has the stats.

The base stats for speed boost to work is 86. If, before DD is activated, your player doesn't have 86 ball control, speed boost won't work with the duo, you still need to apply a ball control shoe for it to work. Dumb, but that's the way it is.

Basically ball control ratings isn't actually being boosted. This makes me wonder how many other attributes aren't really being boosted.

I noticed Kawhi's dribble animations didn't change, but his post fade definitely feels better with the duo. Duncan also shoots a lot better from 3's with 90 3 ball.

Maybe animations don't get unlocked with DD boosts.

Yesterday I looked at the player stats when I was in the game, and neither Kawhi or Duncan received ANY BOOSTS whatsoever. Seems like this entire duo just doesn't work for some reason.

That was the case and they just updated the cards base BC to an 86. Should work now.

I guess they're trying to cover up the fact that some of the attribute boost from DD don't work.

Definitely seems like it because other cards don't require a base 86 and can be boosted with just a shoe to gain access to speed boosting moves. Even a card like Ruby Antoine Walker can speed boost with a shoe. Something smells fishy with these duos.

Although it could just be a glitch with BC because I know for a fact the free throw boosts work as well as the 3 point boosts.

A shoe gives a constant boost all game. A duo gives a dynamic boost that's only active when players are on the court together. It seems a reasonable explanation is that a player's animations are determined when the game loads, where constant boosts are factored in but dynamic boosts are not.
