I've never said I'm done with the game, in fact I'm hopeful every year that the legacy issues will be fixed and as technology advances the game will play more and more like actual basketball.

Being disappointed that it's more of the same isn't "whining", Ian you could argue being a 2K lackey has more of a negative effect for the community by swallowing whatever they serve you in silence giving them no need to improve.

I hear you on this one. I'm sick of people throwing ball full court every possession, and then doing a layup into Shaq and it going in or drawing a foul. I'm sick of working for open shots only to see my percentage equal out to be the same as my opponents despite me smothering all of his shots (I believe the entire game is centered around percentages, but that's another topic).Almost every game I've played has been close and most of them shouldn't be. This game is currently designed to give lower skilled players a chance to succeed rather than having to use basketball IQ and skill to get their points. They seem to be headed down the exact same path as Madden, who openly said they dumbed down the game so that younger players wouldn't have too much trouble with the game. I'm very concerned with where we are heading.

I wonder if they promoted playing in a realistic way rather instead of forcing users to resort to spamming fast breaks and cheesing money plays in Domination we'd have a better online community?

Well, to cut to the line, the simple reason why bad plays are getting rewarded is because the difficulty of MyTeam's online gameplay is set to Pro.

As long 2K doesn't change plans concerning difficulty level, you won't see any change in terms of online gameplay. Most people will with take contested shots, go to the rim risiking contested layups by Shaq or AD, because it's getting REWARDED.

You can not point the finger on the "peanuts" saying "Haha you're dumb" because 2K actually encourages them to keep on doing what they're doing, instead of encouraging them to play thoughtful.

I'm really losing my spirit for MyTeam at current state. Beside the gameplay itself, which is definitely really good, this mode has too many flaws:

- low difficulty level
- bad release schedule (drain every cent out of every tier)
- AH nerfs (limits MT generation, forcing VC purchases)
- still really bad defensive AI (unless you set up everything manually, but even still)
- poor planing on Salary Max (weekends off in rounds)
