How to keep up with recent/best released players?

Every time I play a super max game I see players that I didn't even know existed. I see people here talking about ruby penny but how do you get him? I saw somebody who said they had three diamonds.

Is there a way to keep up with this stuff? Is there a list of ongoing best available players and how to get them? Like which collections have all the available cards released that you'll need to complete the collection and get the reward?

Also I don't see penny or any diamonds in those collections anyway. What am I missing?

Penny is a Historic Domination reward, along with a handful of others.

I was the guy with three diamonds and it's hard as hell and expensive. The first diamond, Jo Jo White, you get for completing Historic Domination (If yours isn't glitched). The second one you get to choose between 3 Diamonds and that's for beating All Time Domination. That's already 99 Games for just those two.

I also unlocked Pistol Pete this morning who you have to win 65 games of Pack & Playoffs, finish a SuperMax round in at least the Amethyst league, Earn 20 reward cards which requires some sets to be locked in, complete Historic Domination, AND collect every historic logo. The logos are the hardest part because once everybody realized such a valuable prize was up for grabs, they started selling the logos for a lot higher prices. I spent about 110K MT on those logos, the good thing is, you can sell them back, they don't have to be locked in.

Diamonds for all the domination is cool. I'd prefer someone besides jojo white but can't be too picky. Who are the choices after all time? Domination is probably what I'll do first. I've already done the current one and got my (mediocre) Artest.

I guess I'll just keep up the grind for points and wait til there are players I like on three auction house.

So what team collection rewards are possible so far?

The choices are Wes Unseld, Joe Dumars, and Tim Hardaway Sr. I picked Unseld because I don't need two diamond PGs and I already knew I was going to go after Pistol Pete.

You actually get 4 Rubies, 4 Amethysts, and 2 Diamonds in total for finishing all 3 domination modes. It's worth the grind.

You get 2 out of these 3.

Amy Fat Lever
Amy Ron Artest
Amy Antonio McDyess


Then you get all 4 of for completing the jerseys in Hist Dom:

Ruby Penny Hardaway.
Ruby Jim Jackson
Ruby Buck Williams
Ruby Bill Russell

Then you get both:

Amy Bob Love
Amy Spencer Haywood

Then you get:

Diamond JoJo White


Then All-Time Domination starts and you get 3500 for each of the normal games then for the last games its doubled.

Then you get to pick from Diamond Joe Dumars, Wes Unseld or Tim Hardaway.

That is a hell of a grind but pretty decent rewards in terms of card level.

Those specific players don't particularity suit me but that's my problem I guess. Not one big guy over 6'10? Kinda lame.

And team collections? Any of those worth comoleting? Any historic ones possible yet?

More than decent. It's quite a haul. I beat the non-AS Historic team that was basically 1 Amethyst, 3 or 4 Sapphire, 3 or 4 Emerald, and Gold. And then I suddenly get 1 Diamond, 3 Amethyst, and 4 Rubies?

That's transformative.

And don't diminish Russell. He's a beast, protecting the paint and cleaning the glass.

Yeah none of those guys are super exciting but I would never play with most of them otherwise so I like Ill get to try new cards and players.

But yeah some of the Collection rewards are absolutely worth completing.

They are all Rubies btw.

I completed the Cavilers , Pacers, Pistons and Suns which got me Campy Russell, Roy Hibbert, Richard Hamilton and Dan Majerle.These guys will be relevant for a long time in the mode especially due to the cap.

Some other good ones are Shareef Abdur-Raheem for the Grizzlies and Jamal Mashburn for the Pelicans.

The prices of the silvers and Bronzes are going up so you might want to start locking now.

Is it worth it to complete collection now? I think it will just get my mt stuck. If I buy player from the auction at least I can sell it at around the same price back. I haven’t completed a collection yet... my best player is Brent Barry and LeBron and I am on my way to pink diamond in supermax though. Maybe there will be better cards then the current collection in the near future. Like David Thompson in the rim rocker set is similar and may have higher attribute due to less intangibles.
