I know you wrote the article somewhat in jest...but the sad reality is there are real people out there with the same thoughts running thru their heads...and many don't have the willpower and/or mental capacity or fortitude to STOP.

2K targets these gamers and manipulates them for a profit....you know....sort of like a drug dealer.

It's actually kind of depressing. And this is coming from someone who has supported in-game content/currencies like this and micro-transactions in the past.

These days, I'm not sure I feel the same way. Especially when I see the underhanded tactics and psychological tricks 2K is using...most of which go under the radar of the average gamer.

What makes it even worse is how 2K uses TWO separate digital currencies in-game (MT and VC) to BILK customers even more. It's not enough that they take your real money for a worthless digital currency....they have to "tax" you on it by forcing you to exchange VC for MT.

i am feeling you on that one.
I used to spent 1000 of euros on that game during the previous seasons.
Spending 100 euros like it was nothing.
Biggest mistake of my life (even worst than cheating on my wife).
That's a real addiction. Very dangerous. They should be banned

This is what 2K has to stoop to because MyTeam is desperate for players and attention.

Oh my god! The theory that 2K is tracking my purchase history and knows how much money I've spent on packs. And that this will somehow change the odds in my favor. This is 100% me. It's so sad.

BTW, copped the Harden on the "Fire Sale" day.

I just started my team and I bought the better single packs rather than the box at first and got much better cards in the better packs than the box I bought with only one player card and 4 items. I wont buy any box again unless I am loaded with money and the box is the 3 players, 2 item box.
