How do EVOs factor into lineup OVR?
How do EVOs factor into team lineup OVR? It feels like when I initially build a lineup with EVOs, it counts their original base number toward the OVR, which I've understood is the true benefit of EVOs -- they take work, they're not quite as good, but they count for less. However, often, when I close that lineup screen and return the numbers have jumped significantly. For instance, I have a 10-man lineup (with three bonzes) that registers as an 85 OVR. But SOMETIMES, when I open it up it's suddenly 90s across the board. Does anyone have any input or understanding on this?* -

Re: How do EVOs factor into lineup OVR?
that's not how it works for TT offline, though. When I build the roster it is rated at the floor, when I leave and come back in it it jumps to the ceiling, and then at a different time of day it might settle into something in between. I don't understand the internal rules, parameters or guidelines -- 2k has muddled it all.
I still mess with them but they're not worth contributing their final OVR when it comes to team OVR calculation.Last edited by Mister Magnus; 03-02-2020, 10:36 AM.Comment

Re: How do EVOs factor into lineup OVR?
My only understanding of when they stay with the lower overall is for Triple Threat Offline -- the opponents are based off the highest rated card from the original level of an EVO. Otherwise I thought the overall stuck with the level of overall of the Evo card you're at.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). I write it, and it hits your inbox every Friday morning (for freeeeeee). We also have an official OS Discord you can now join.Comment

Re: How do EVOs factor into lineup OVR?
That really tanks EVOs. There's basically zero utility for them outside of TT offline. I worked the AH this year, and maybe someone who struggled to bank any MT would take issue with what I've said, but there are so many good cards at such low prices and the EVOs just don't carry the value for the time spent if they're going to resolve at their highest point total. Good idea, awful execution. Not to mention, again, that when I initially build out the roster, it seems to register it on the bottom end. It's sloppy implementation all around.Comment
