How to play with friends?

Im trying to figure out how to play with friends on xbox one. Every time I try to send the invite the only option is invite to party. Even when I select that it doesnt send a game invite. Ive tried in a party and outside of a party already.

Both the game and party invite are the same. My problem is every time I try to connect it says the "servers are down."

So here is what i have figured out. If you want to play with a friend it comes down to the rosters you both have. I have used the "Rudy Gay" rule in order to make this easy. Make sure you and your friends are on the same roster. Check to see if Rudy Gay is on the Kings or Raptors. For some reason 2k will let people load up on different rosters even though you both connect to the servers.

If you do not have the same rosters, You have to restart your game over and over again until it picks up the correct roster.

Now after you have finally gotten the correct rosters... You can attempt "Play with Friends"

If you can still not connect then Google 2k14 Connection troubleshooting.

They will have you do some techy stuff with your NAT settings and your Router settings.

Probably not going to do anything but not gonna hurt.

And have fun with all that.

For me the best workaround for the moment is to search quickmatch team up at the same time.

Then you must hope that you get in the same game. This is easier than you think. Then you must hope that the game doesn't freeze on the "Please wait while we setup your match" Synchronizing screen.

All of this and there is still a good chance the game will lagout.

But i have played some team up games with friends using these methods.

It shouldn't have to come to this but it did.

Play with freinds is fine, on the PS4, that is too much work on the XBOX1, SALUTE come back home, lg member, haha

How do you play with a friend on park mode on ps4 I can ever figure it out

Play with friends lags horribly for some reason anyway, pretty much unplayable at the moment.

One of you needs to be in the park on the option it will say just play Park or play with friends click on play with friends to pick the one you want to play with.

Post patch #4 XB1. Still having issues with this mode. Hard to get friend into Locker Room , and then when you try to advance to select teams you get "servers unavailable". Very frustrating.
