Rules & Regulations

-This is a realistic NBA sim league, if something is done in the game that you would never see in real life then it probably isn't allowed.

- Fastbreak, You can push the ball off long rebounds and when it makes sense with numbers, ex. 2 on 1, 3 on 2 etc. DO NOT ABUSE fastbreaking by doing it after every single rebound that will not be tolerated. Also on Steals, Blocks you are allowed to fastbreak, full court pass is allowed. You may also Fastbreak off PG or SG rebound but have to wait till you get to halfcourt before you can pass.

- DO NOT STEAL AFTER BASKET INBOUND PASSES. Passes on the side of the court on your defensive side you can try to steal. If it's late in the game and you are down you can fullcourt press and steal.

- If the PG is in your backcourt trying to steal you can take advantage and blow past him. However he shouldn't be in the back court unless it's late in the game.

- Players should not be averaging more than 30 shots per game.

- Do not average more than 30 3s a game.

- Do not hold turbo on your entire possession. Turbo is not to be used for every movement on the court. You don't use turbo everytime you want to go somewhere. Running left to right using turbo will not be tolerated. Use turbo when you have a lane to drive, don't use turbo to create that lane to drive.

- NO Turbo in the half court set to get a shot off. If you pump fake and the opponent jumps you can go in for the jam but you should never turbo around a guy to get a shot off in the half-court set.

- You may adjust strategy at the beginning of the game, during time outs or end of each quarter using the pause. You may not pause in the middle of the game to check stats or change plays or adjust strategy.

-NO INSTANT REPLAYS DURING GAMES. NO FLASH PAUSING DURING GAMES, NO PAUSING DURING GAMEPLAY, NO CHANGING SETTINGS DURING GAMEPLAY(CALL A TIMEOUT).

-NO QUITTING DURING GAMES. FIRST OFFENSE WILL BE A 1 GAME SUSPENSION. 2ND OFFENSE 5 GAME SUSPENSION. ON THIRD TIME YOU QUIT WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE YOUR CONTRACT.

PLAYER POSITIONS

You can only use players at their primary and secondary positions. If you play a player out of place he will be suspended for the next game you play.

Make sure your bench is getting a good amount of minutes work your rotation. Unless overtime is involved, but playoffs is a different story.

Also spread the ball don't let 2 people on your team average all your shots. You player should avg around 26 shots per game, if they are avg more than this they better be shooting an ungodly % from field. 26 three pointers or in that area is acceptable.

OFFENSE

Stay around 50% Points In The Paint. Fast Break Points will be deducted from overall PIP Total.

Play NBA Style - Take advantage of mismatches, take what the defense gives you. For example, attack bigs defending smalls on the perimeter, or small defending bigs in the post.

Fast Break points are ONLY allowed off TURNOVERS, BLOCKS, OR AIRBALLS. If your opponent presses and is swiping for steals in the back court(which they shouldn't be)

---Take Advantage.

YOU SHOULD RUN SETS TO GET YOUR PLAYERS THE BALL, IF YOU DON'T KNOW ANY SETS THEY HAVE A PRACTICE MODE WHERE YOU CAN LEARN PLAYS.

You don't have to run plays every time down, but 60 - 70% of your offense should be ran through Sets. Do not abuse certain play sets or offense moves.

Abuse is defined as using any game option more than 3x in a row.

For example, shooting THREE fade-away shots in the post in a row, running the same set THREE times in a row, using an up and under THREE times in a row and anything else of this nature IS CONSIDERED ABUSE. Do your best to mix it up and have fun playing. The game give you a ton of options on offense AND defense.

DEFENSE

100% on ball defense.

You may switch offball if beat off the dribble to recover and defend. You may switch

offball to defend the pick and roll. BUT YOU MUST IMMEDIATELY SWITCH BACK TO ON BALL AFTERWARD

Switch defender ON the pass.

You may play Zone Defense but not all quarter switch it up. Man up.

No full court Press/Trap unless down in the 4th.

Double teams are allowed. But should be not be abused. See above for a description of abuse. If you are double teamed take advantage.

There is an app called groupme on smartphones. We encourage members to download this app so we can add you to the SW Sports - SWNBA Simulation League. The app is basically a huge chat for everybody in the league where you can see what's going on even if you are unable to get on the site chat at the time.

Failing to reply to people when they try to contact you will not be accepted.

Trades

All trades must be sent to an admin to be voted on. NO TRADES ARE TO BE ACCEPTED BEFORE APPROVAL. They must be reasonable trades(ex. Steph Curry for Mo Williams = a no) Be smart with your trades only 4 will be allowed per season so be careful how you use them.

CODES OF CONDUCT

If any rules are broken, save replays and come to Admin.

Play fair and have fun. Any disagreements should be resolved by the League members amongst yourselves in a mature manner. If not, bring it up with the Admin/Commissioner for a decision.

No threats will be tolerated and are grounds for immediate termination from the League.

In addition to having an Administrator, there will be a separate Commissioner for each Conference who will assist the Admin in making decisions to improve the league, trade issues, suspensions, etc. Decisions will be voted on by them and the Admin. Commissioners will be decided on by members' votes.

Above all have respect for everyone in the League. Treat them as you would have them treat you.

Games will be played in order, so be sure to schedule the games with your opponents beforehand. We will advance every 2-3 days, so unplayed games will be simulated.

If one player is available, but the other is not then the available player will get the W.
