For those of you who are in any legit online leagues, how does your league deal with offseason? I'm sure that all 30 users are not always able to make the offseason time, so how do you guys deal with the users who are missing out on the offseason? Do you have those users temporarily leave the league to let the cpu make decisions for their team? Or do they just miss out on being able to sign free agents entirely?

The latter, of people leaving so CPU, works but we've stretched out the entire off-season to last 4-5 real-life days.
We'll do multiple 2K days in one human day. Most of the big-name players and teams have cap space in the earlier days of FA, so that's when the biggest time windows are. For the moratorium, we dedicate at least half a real-life day per 2k day since that's when a lot of big singings happen. As players start to sign and money dries up, time windows narrow down.
Also, it helps that 2K allows just 3 bids per 2K day. Patience and extending out the off-season works best with a big league with people having diverse schedules. They can come in/out freely and not miss anything. -

I run a full 30 user league and we generally have long(12 hour) FA days so people can submit their bids and go to work and whatnot. You'd be surprised how many people show up at advance hahaI rep USDA
