2K24: My NBA Eras Real Draft Classics

Hey there. Last season I created scenarios and draft classes for the introduction of the MyNBA Eras feature. This season, I am continuing with the draft classes and will consider scenarios for future seasons.

    Draft-class features include:
    - Accurate info, bio, numbers for all the players
    - Accurate CAP for the missing players
    - Accurate Shoes and Accessories for all the players
    - Accurate ratings
    - Both rounds complete and undrafted free agents from that draft class

If you want to support me, you can subscribe to my YouTube Channel. Thanks

    ~Jo Jo English
    ~Shane Heal
    ~Stephen Howard
    ~Chris Jent

Four players from the University of Arkansas final four team were drafted in 1992. Several UFAs went on to have excellent careers, including David Wesley who entered the NBA several years later and Darrick Martin. Only six players did not play a single game in the NBA from this draft class.

Working on the 2003 Draft Class and have it set up really well, but the following last names are flagged by 2K and crash the game when I try to save and share with them:

van de Hare

Sinanovic

Rickert

Yuyang

I'll figure out fake last names for them and post them. None of them made a team, ever, but Rickert once got punched in the face by Kevin Garnett and had a long career overseas.

Obviously, LeBron, Carmelo, Dwayne, and Bost headline this draft, but there were a ton of important players in this draft like David West and Boris Diaw, but also lesser-known gems like Josh Howard and James Jones.

Play the 2002-03 season and draft Ndudi Ebi straight out of high school. Injuries ruined him, but he could have been one of the biggest names in this draft.

Five players from this class went on to play for the Charlotte Bobcats, including Kevin Burleson, who's brother Nate is a former NFL receiver and current TV personality.

                - 2nd Round: Complete

                ~Jared Reiner
                ~Damien Wilkins

This might be the worst draft class ever. I think a lot of folks will argue that 200 is worse, and they would probably be correct, but 2004 is stunningly bad. Just five all-stars. Damien Wilkins wasn't even drafted but ended up valued as a first-round pick when looking at win shares and VORP.

One of my college classmates and lunch buddies even made the NBA as part of this terrible draft class.

This draft is tragic in that several of these players were either arrested, suffered from mental illness, addicted to drugs, and/or died.

If y'all are interested in some of the stories read about the following players:

The 2005 draft class might actually be worse than the dreaded 2004 class. Several undrafted players went on to have decent careers while several first-round picks were complete failures. The Orlando Magic drafted Fran Vazquez 11th overall and he never played in the NBA. This class also has the longest name in NBA history: Martynas Andriuškevičius.

Love it when I see other creators use familiar recognizable faces. I'm cool with being a communion on these projects.

I updated the 2004 draft class to include Luke Jackson in the draft pool. I somehow forgot one of the all-time "what-ifs." He was going to be the outside shooter who would benefit from Lebron driving and drawing attention. But two herniated disks in his back ruined his career.

This class often ranks as one of the worst ever. Just five all-stars with LaMarcus Aldridge leading the way with 115.7 win share. This was the first draft that disallowed high-school players. Villanova and George Washington are well-represented in this class.
