I would list the pros and cons of each, either for yourself or here, and make the consideration from there. For instance, aussie_pride gave a pro for a scenario. I could be wrong, but if it's a roster, I assume Play Now quick games from 1997-98 could be utilized.

AIRJ23 mentioned an issue he had with accidentally turning a file into an online save, thus he won't be able to play it when the servers go down.

FYI: I did notice and report that the 1997-98 Utah Jazz's Antoine Carr loses his goggles when edited.

Also, any plans to do a Lebron Era roster this year since you didn't do it last year?

I hope to do it this year...

You likely did; I went back to 2K23 before the era and classic teams were completed so I wouldn't know.

Mj one thing you got to with the scenarios to make it accurate you would have to sim seasons to get it to 1997 in calendar date, then go back and trade/edit the players to there proper teams.

With just a roster release people would be able to just create there own season.

Roster for Quick Play availability + customizing the MyNBA save to your liking.

I think best option is scenario. Thank you for taking it to consider.

Creating a scenario for 1997-98 might (Idk) cause this glitch reported by FunGaming44 in post #57 of the Bugs & Glitches thread:

In eras if you override any retirements the players disappear before the start of the season this is a game breaking glitch

Mark Jackson of the 1991-92 Jordan Era Knicks should be number 13 and not 31 as he is in the game.
