Key questions about shoe editing

Before I work on creating my own little rosters for the Wizards and a couple of other teams if I can manage, I have two questions about how shoe editing works:

1. Is there a created shoe cap limit? If I edit them on my own, am I limited to 25, 50 colorways?

2. Is it possible to change a players shoe brand? For example, I'd like to give Nene Hyperdunks, but he's locked into adidas currently.

1. I'm at about 65 sneakers, I don't know what the limit is.
2. No, I have compiled a list of wrong brands on each player but I don't know if 2k even cares.
