Post Up Low

Post Up High
Swing Strong 3 High
Wide High

Cutter
Elbow Dive 2

Great stuff! I just finished kings playbook (rough draft) today and have everyone of those actions in it. I think you will like it. I'll post tonight and you can review it and let me know any changes you think need to be done. Videos like this are great!!! If you find anymore of these please post here... Thanks!!!

Re: NBA 2k15 team play book thread

I've been really diving deep into coach kerr's new warriors system as vann knows and here's what I found after charting the first 3 preseason games.

They ran each of the following plays at the following frequency.

I realize its preseason but without access to practices, its all we have to go from at this point.

Entries in Half Court
Thru Weak Motion (Thru 12, Thru Power, Thru Punch) - 14 times
01 52 Quick Fist Down - 12 times
Swing Strong Quick 2 - 11 times
Swing Strong Quick 1 Fist - 10 times
Zipper 1 Quick - 8 times
Tri Top 12 Quick - 7 times
Pistol Give 35 Fist Down - 4 times
90 14 Fist 3 Quick - 4 times
Tri Wing 35 Fist - 3 times
Swing Strong 42 Quick - 3 times
Zipper Fist Down - 3 times
Zipper Fist Quick 24 - 3 times
Swing Strong 2 Ice - 2 times
Tri Wing 15 Punch - 2 times
Thru Fist - 2 times
Horns 15 Fist Punch - 1 time
Horns 4 Get 3 Quick - 1 time
Horns Quick 21 - 1 time
89 Chin Floppy - 1 time

Used As Both Entries and Secondary Sets (after primary action failed to gain an advantage)
Horns 53 Quick - 12 times
Angle 4 Fist - 8 times
Horns Away Mid - 6 times
Horns Flex 42 Quick - 4 times
Horns Fist 5 Dive - 3 times

Freelance Actions in Halfcourt or After Quick Push after make
65 Elbow 53 Give - 11 times
Punch - 9 times
Ice 12 - 5 times
Spread Fist 15 Punch - 4 times
Wide Quick 12 - 3 times
Angle 19 Fist Down - 1 time
Wide Quick 13 - 1 time

The Following Players Had the Most Playcalls
Klay 34, Steph 28, HB 17, Iguodala 16, Barbosa 14, Dlee 10, Rush 10, Nedovic 9, Justin Holiday 6, Bogut 5

This last bit of data doesn't mean much in terms of how they play in real life as the spacing dictates some of this, but can be useful in terms of tweaking tendencies down the road to make sure they are running authentic actions even though the player the play is called for doesn't often take the shot as something else opens up (unless its klay, in which case you know its going up haha)

Thank you for this work.

I never played the game growing up, so my understanding of plays is lacking. Question: the warriors seem to be using Bogut at the elbow more this pre-season. He's able to use his passing, but is also driving at times where the defense shows no respect. How do I get this action from set plays in game?

So a quick little note for my post above that applies to this question as well...in game, you will need to set all players on the warriors roster as play initiators except kuzmic and ezeli. in 2k15 this translates as the bigs pushing the ball in transition after the rebound, this alone will help to create the dynamic style of the warriors that has bogut with the ball in his hands more often.

@dubnation01 its tough to have cpu players break the action of a called play and drive until the play breaks. however, as a user you always have the option to do as you please.

so with many of the horns sets listed above and 65 elbow 53 give among others (any swing strong plays where the ball is reversed through a big at the top of the key)...the action will go through bogut as a facilitator at the high post and as the user you always have the option of breaking off the play at any time to drive if you see an advantage...or maybe with bogut you fake a handoff (by using a fake pass) to a cutter and then spin middle for a hook or layup.

so my recommendation at this point is to manually enter the warriors playbook once vann posts it here or private message me and i can give what i have (which is basically listed above albeit not broken down by play type) and find the plays where the first pass is to bogut at high post and practice those in scrimmage.

last note, the majority of the plays with bogut at the high post with the ball are midrange plays for wing players, so you won't be calling a play for bogut, but you will be playing through him and allowing him to be involved in whichever way you see suitable on a given possession (shoot, drive, pass)

i plan on posting some videos of what i've been running with the dubs to this point and i'll be sure to include a clip where bogut takes advantage of the defense cheating off of him.
