Re: PS4 NBA 2K15 Completed Classic Teams Project

I would like to make tons of new classic teams, but the fact that a lot of classic players (like Dale Ellis, Mark Eaton, Rolando Blackman, English etc) are LOCKED and you can use them just in MYTEAM make me angry. I mean, cmon 2k, they are alreday in the game, make them available for offline players!!

Your Alex English is a 1000 times better than the official one. 2k many times is too lazy with their legends. Take Bill Laimbeer for a spin: he should have blue eyes, not brown. Mark Price has absolutely nothing to do with the real thing and so on. How about Larry Bird`s hair. Horrible! Horrible!
Congratulations, your AE looks like the real deal while 2k`s has nothing to do with him. Shame on the guys from 2k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: PS4 NBA 2K15 Completed Classic Teams Project

Great roster man! Appreciate your efforts!

I've been mulling over an idea and I think you're the best guy to put it to...

If you think about the NBA Champions then we could get a 'NBA Champs Roster' with 30 teams going back to the 1960's. What I mean by that is grouping players from Dynasty's, so for example the 2000-2002 Lakers would be 1 team on a 'NBA Champs Roster' with the most relevant 15 players. The 2003, 2005 and 2007 Spurs would be one team, but 1999 and 2014 would be two others.

If it's possible for this to happen then we end up with a 30 team NBA with the following teams:

2014 Spurs
2012-2013 Heat
2011 Mavs
2009-2010 Lakers
2008 Celtics
2003-2005-2007 Spurs
2006 Heat
2004 Pistons
2000-2002 Lakers
1999 Spurs
1996-1998 Bulls
1994-1995 Rockets
1991-1993 Bulls
1989-1990 Pistons
1985-1987-1988 Lakers
1984-1986 Celtics
1983 76ers
1980-1982 Lakers
1981-Celtics
1979 Sonics
1978 Bullets
1977 Blazers
1974-76 Celtics
1975 Warriors
1970-1973 Knicks
1972 Lakers
1971 Bucks
1957-1969 Celtics (yes it's a lot of years - I'd have to research rosters and split)
1967 76ers
1958 Hawks

That's 30 teams and covers everyone from 1958.

Would be great if the 2K team eventually did this. There's 2 more champs, 1956 Warriors and 1955 Nationals who existed after the shot clock came in. I'd love 2K to launch a NBA CHAMPIONS MODE with 32 teams from the list above and a 32 team single elimination tournament mode on like NBA 2K17.

Before that there's 8 years without a shot clock and 3 other teams that just go too far back.

Most of these teams are in the game

My memory might be sketchy as I'm assuming there was no major new player added to say the 1982 Lakers who wasn't on the 1980 Lakers. I've split teams like the 80-82 teams from the 85, 87-88 teams as the rosters were very different by then. Same as the Bulls, the 91-93 at old Chicago Stadium were very different to the 96-98 teams at the United Center with only two players on both groups.

Could rosters even be manipulated like this as there would be multiple Spurs teams (3) but there's only two on the rosters, 1998 and current?

Anyone like the idea and is this type of thing possible?

Thanks for reading.

Re: PS4 NBA 2K15 Completed Classic Teams Project

Hi MJWizards,

Thanks for this roster. Hoping you can help with something.

I had the idea to do a season/franchise with your roster of historic teams. What I'd like to do is select teams from within the game who got to the NBA Finals.

So counting every team up I believe it's at 27. That's with tweaks to the 1998 Lakers and 1998 Spurs for example, so they're the 1999 and 2000 rosters.

Aside from that the easiest way to get to 30 is with:

2013 Heat - Historic as a repeat team and 27 win streak
2012 Thunder - made finals, had Harden and the may go on to win at some point
2011 Mavs - most players still in the league

Other options like the Lakers and Celtics teams who won from 2008-2010 but this gets us there.

Are you still editing rosters? I'm no expert but you seem to be.

I'll post a message after this detailing what needs to be added. I may have a go but if you're willing and active on roster edits then your help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: PS4 NBA 2K15 Completed Classic Teams Project

Changes needed to add 2013 Heat, 2012 Thunder and 2011 Mavericks:

Players to add:

Shane Battier - big part
Rashard Lewis - lesser part
Joel Anthony - Detroit - 50
Ray Allen - Free agent - 34
Norris Cole - New Orleans - 30
LeBron James - Cleveland - 6
James Jones - Cleveland - 22
Mike Miller - Cleveland - 13

That's 13

2013 others:

Dexter Pittman
Josh Harrellson
Terrel Harris
Jarvis Varnado

Juwan Howard!

2011 Dallas

Dirk Nowitzki
Jason Kidd - 2
Shawn Marion - 0
Jason Terry - 31
Tyson Chandler
Jose Barea
Peja Stojakovic - 16
DeShawn Stevenson - 92 - STARTER
Brendan Haywood - 33 - Cavaliers
Brian Cardinal - 35 - barely played in playoffs
Ian Mahinmi - 15 - Indiana
Corey Brewer - 13 - Houston

Not on playoff roster:

Caron Butler - 4 - Injured
Alexis Ajinca - 8 - New Orleans
Steve Novak - 21 - Utah, Tor or OKC

2012 Thunder

James Harden - 13 - Rockets
Perkins - 5 - Cavaliers
Sefolosha - 2 - Hawks
Derek Fisher - 37
Daequan Cook - 14
Nazr Mohammed - 8 - Bulls
Cole Aldrich - 45 - at NKY now
Royal Ivey - 7 - is somewhere on 2K15 I think - free agent pool?
Lazar Hayward - 11

Not on playoff roster:

Eric Maynor - 6 - not on a team in 15. Free agents?
Reggie Jackson - 15 - not on playoffs in 2012 - Pistons now

2014 Spurs - Austin Daye - 23 - may now be at Toronto or Atlanta
Kyle Anderson not on Spurs in 2014

As you see I've worked out their numbers and where they are now. Many on still in the league but a number are not. I'd appreciate any help with creating the missing players if you're interested?

Thanks anyway

I've just tested setting up a franchise/season to. This works pretty good. You can keep all East and West teams in their own conference. Most teams go in the right division to, although I moved the Warriors out of Pacific as the Pacific would be overkill on Lakers:

65, 72, 87, 91 and 98 acting as 2000 teams.

Looking forward to playing as the 96 Bulls versus 29 other NBA Finalists!

Grazz, thanks for the kind words. I must say that the user Freno deserve a lot of credits for My roster. I like your idea of an nba roster with all the champions. I had no time in the last month but right now im working again on another season: 84/85*.
