2K16: 1984-1985 NBA Roster (PS4)

Been having fun playing with these but the Spurs need some work on their tendacies. They put up 23 3 pointers in three quarters, with Mike Mitchell hitting 4 of them and Marc Iavaroni going 2 for 3 coming off pick at the top of the key. Iavaroni was just a banger/lunch pail guy and actually never made a 3 in his career. Mitchell was midrange and had a bunch of sneaky post moves and only made 5 3's the whole year. Johnny Moore also took a ton of shots but that might have been my bad defense. I'm not trying to nit pick because every other team I've played with has been awesome and the CAPs are excellent as well. Keep up the great work!!

What playbook are you using? Current Spurs? I'm thinking that using play books from '80s teams might decrease the number of 3's? I'm considering switching all the teams to more era specific playbook so? Any thoughts?

I didnt even think about the playbooks, that may have been the problem. I havent done much experimenting with the playbooks so hopefully someone with more experience can make some suggestions. I dropped the 3 point tendency on players like Iavaroni to 0 on the rosters I'm working on to prevent them from jacking them up. May have a chance tomorrow to look thru some players and look in depth. It could be that players play style has 3 pointer as their first option But like I said, otherwise really enjoying the roster....Bulls are tough. Played with Nuggets against them. Woolridge had 23 at the half, Jordan finished with 30 and Quinton Dailey came in and lit me up too. Lost by 20

Wow Bulls for me were the easiest I have played so far, I was playing with 76ers, won by 23 simcasted first half where we were up by 7 and played rest, Jordan was tough but Dr.J did a great job on defence and their centre spot was pretty weak and Moses went to work with 30 and 14.

Meanwhile im Always playing my 84-85 season: great game between me (Utah Jazz) and Philadelphia, but Doctor J takes the W with a 22 points performance. Moses with 18+17, Rookie Barkley with 11 points and 11 boards. For me 26 of Dantley, 17 from John Drew, 13 from Griffith.
