I don't know if 2k did something to athletic ratings in one of the patches but recently everyone hs been feeling sluggish. Especially Lebron, one of the fastest players in the league seems very slow and animation heavy in the game.

Most likely they attempted to fix the probelm by globally adjusting everyone.

That wont work because globally everyone is already messed up. It has to be done indiviually. But doing so also lowes the overall...so people will be pissed when their favorite player isnt a 90+ overall.

I work 40 hours a week and watch basketball after so i only have time to work on these during the weekend. the base scale is basically set all i need is for people to input the ratings in to the spreedsheet then from there it's all about testing and tweaking.

I think what you are doing makes a lot of sense. Athleticism separates players IRL.

The issue I think 2k has is how trades, free agency, contracts, rotations, etc. are so tied into overall. It's why this "intangibles" rating is so fishy. In order to make sure a specialist is getting the types of minutes he would usually paly and certainly the type of trade value or contract, they must inflate overalls. Until 2k better figures out how to work on this issue of not having overalls tied to "value" throughout the game, we will see odd ratings on a variety of things and things like intangibles designed to artificially inflate overall ratings.

a glaring issue with athletic ratings is that animations override them.

for example, a quick spin or drive out of a post-up animation will give a massive speed boost where guys with even a 25 speed/acceleration turn into the flash until the animation ends, making it so guys with 90 speed cant even keep up.

The thing that pisses me off the most is the speed of dunks. Spud Webb has the slowest dunk i've ever seen in my life because of how short he is and has a 98 vertical. Manute Bol tho in MyTeam has the fastest, most unblockable dunk ever with a 25 vertical and only a 75 standing dunk when he's 7'7". The animations are all over the place with dunks. I get that obviously it's gonna take Spud Webb longer to get up to the rim than Manute Bol, but it's not just spud webb. Dunk packages altogether are slow this year and that's why they get blocked so much in the park.

Just added Charlotte. I didn't check the scale compared to other team entries but I did use your outlined 35-95 scale.
