NEW - Historic & Now Roster

Hi Everyone

I have another post here about my roster I have been working on. It runs on the premise that you use 8 current roster players with 7 historical roster players. Total rating points for a single teams historical roster must equate to 600 to ensure a certain level of parity and connection to current form

Playing this roster is highly enjoyable & each team has their own personality. I have used attribute ratings, tendency ratings, Signatures and badges based on MYTEAM cards & modified as i feel fit as i tend to find MYTEAM cards are generally over-powered and `Arcade versions` of their skill set.

Majority of the positions i have taken for Basketball Reference Stats & they have Finley as a SF for the majority of his career.

Tarpley I would actually love to have in the game as well, but players that have not got any MYTEAM card between now and 2015 to use as a guide - I have excluded from the game. This keeps it interesting from year to year as both sides of the roster can change based on the latest edition.

Of those other guys, Jim Jackson was very close to making it but with a pretty strong SF already he missed the cut. Also considered him at SG but basically these rosters were made from picking the top 6-7 of the current roster first and building the rest around that. This mean Curry & Matthews were already locked in at SG and only 1 more could be added. I went with Terry & his Dallas Mavericks ring over Jackson.

The actual challenge of making these rosters based on the restrictions i self imposed actually make the creating of the rosters a huge challenge and a game in its self (to me at least) I LOVE roster management & these odd self imposed rules (8/7 split, 3 of each position, 600 total Historic ratings etc. ) are vital. Without some sort of rule and restrictions to make the rosters, I think the league loses its balance. Flawless teams are boring

Why? I just see little point in having quality players like KC Jones, Jim Jackson etc on a roster if they are just going to get DNP or minimal minutes.

Because he plays for the Thunder/Sonics. Each player can only appear once.
