Hello to all roster makers!

Today I'd like to show you a spreadsheet that I created so that fellow roster makers can generate player ratings based off of real player stats, and speed up work flow. You can generate an entire team on 1 spreadsheet.

I plan on adding much more stats convert and I also plan on making the formulas much more complex and realistic based on testing and feedback. So be sure to test it and tell me what you think!

Release Notes:
June 10th, 2017 - 0.0.1: Spreadsheet was released.
June 12th, 2017 - 0.0.2: Added Stamina Formula and tweaked the spreadsheet.
June 15th, 2017 - 0.0.3: Added formulas for On-Ball Defensive IQ, Low Post Defensive IQ, and Blocks.
June 16th, 2017 - 0.0.4: Tweaked the 3pt Formula to make it so that players who take more 3pt shots shots get a boost.
June 16th, 2017 - 0.0.5: Got rid of "Total Steals" and "Games Played" for the steal formula, instead amount of steals per game is now used.
July 16th, 2017 - 0.0.6: Got rid of the "Playmaking" Generator and replaced it with a "Ball Control" generator and a "Passing" Generator.

How do I get the ratings?

I'm confused as to where I should input the player's stats?

You have to make a copy and input the stats here. The ratings change as info is inputed.

How do I find the Shot Close and Mid Ranged stats?

On Basketball Reference, I can't find the number of makes from 10ft+, all I can find is the percentage.

This is only for players in seasons 2001-Present.

In order to get to it (shot close) you can go to the "shooting" tab and look for the 3-10 ft shots. For the 10 ft+ (mid ranged) shots you need to go here and put the right season filter in, then the other filters you'll need are:

"Shot Type" - Jump Shot

"Shot Distance" - 10 ft to Any

"Shot Points" - 2

What rating are you generating for Mid-Ranged Scoring and 3pt Scoring

The ratings under "Mid Scoring" and "3pt Scoring" all change depending on the ratings of Open mid, Off Dribble Mid, and Contested Mid. "Mid Scoring" and "3pt Scoring" is what you have to change by changing the other ratings.

When I download the excel sheet it removes the formulas

It's not for Excel, you have to make a copy on Google Spreadsheets.

Nothing is changing when I enter in the values that need to be entered... Am I missing something?

Sometimes the values are too low so they stay at the minimum. Usually the minimum values are numbers 25-50. What in specific are you talking about?

So I put in the 10 ft 2 point shots and that changes the "mid rating" value. What do I do with that?
