Historic ABA logo/arenas incoming (PS4)

Hi all,

I got a late start this year, picked up 2K18 on the Black Friday sale. I am currently working on classic ABA logos/teams/arenas, all historical data has been thoroughly researched and all logos are high-res. In many cases where high-res data was missing or did not exist, I recreated these logos from scratch.

The logos are up now (screenshot attached), I hope to have many ABA jerseys and arenas uploaded throughout the coming weeks. Enjoy!

Are there any PS4 ABA rosters to use these works of art with ?

I have use ABA Logos for the 1975 version roster for all non existing teams in that season. But they aren't filled with ABA players which is unfortunate otherwise it would be a very fun roster to have.

Sadly, I haven't come across a full ABA roster yet. The closest I've seen is a classic ABA/NBA hybrid roster, but I haven't actually tested it out yet.

But I agree, it would be amazing to compliment these ABA teams and arenas with actual players. So many greats from that league.

I did a 74-75 and 75-76 ABA roster on 2k17. I have 18 but have not even played it. I'm enjoying my 17 rosters/seasons. Does 18 have access to the red white and blue ball? I know a few years ago "payrespect" unlocked ABA ball. How is 18 game play? If ABA ball is available or if game is far superior to 17 I'd consider doing an ABA roster

Ebpmd, what were your two file names for the rosters mentioned above plus you PSN which they were loaded under. I am using a 74-75 file named 1975 but don't think it is the one you are speaking of because the non-existing teams are not filled with ABA players from what I can tell.

Also, do you perhaps have a thread that list which team represents which ABA Team in those rosters of yours.

I am speaking of 2K17.

UPDATE: I found the roster via gertie653 ,,,,,,,,,,, but do you have a list of which teams represent those ABA Teams?

I have 74-75 ABA, 74-75 NBA and 76-77 NBA. The problem is I did a lot of the ratings editing within my league mode. I just found it easier that way.

I must have deleted the 75-76 ABA roster? I do have the uniforms and arenas for that season though

A project with BOTH ABA and NBA Season from like 1972 would be amazing...lot of missing players but...

That would be an awesome project, as if the NBA/ABA merger happened earlier and was not so one-sided. Maybe convert the West to all ABA teams and the East to all NBA teams, then let 'em duke it out for the title.

I'm still working on the ABA logos. In sorting through last year's files, I realized there are a whole bunch that I even never got to in 2K17, like the San Diego Sails. After that I'll start working these into cohesive jersey/court designs. Can't wait to get started on the Baltimore Claws jerseys, the ones where they literally stitched a Claws logo over their old Memphis Sounds jerseys, LOL:

Does anyone know how to globally activate the short-shorts? The ABA teams really need them. I swear I've seen downloaded teams where they are forced on every player (Curry, Harden, etc.), I've tried starting with Classic and All-Time teams and nothing seems to work, and there's no option to individually edit them onto the players.

Yo Turbo these would be good for the league after a couple of years for my 1962 roster. You could split the league into the NBA and the ABA at that point. Do you have any team designs done or just the logos?

That is a fantastic idea!

I got started on the ABA teams, but it's slow going. It looks like someone else already hopped on the ABA team creation train. Look for the PS4 tag "toddlud", he made a bunch of cool ABA teams and I'm pretty sure they're using my logos.
