What age would I set a player that I want to turn 20 years old in the year the season begins (Current example would be for players born in 1997 turning 20 in 2017)

Draft Classes and Age
Does anyone have idea as to how age on the draft classes actually work? When you are in the draft class editor it says one age but by the time the season stats it is usually different. Is the shown age while editing their age as of a certain date (today possibly?). Some prospects can be made 18, others cant, I just do not really understand how this works.

If you’re starting in the off-season set his age to 20 but if you’re starting in the regular season set his age to 19. This is because the players still age even before they are drafted.Does anyone have idea as to how age on the draft classes actually work? And the reason some players can be 18 and some can’t is because of their birthday. They can be 18 as long as their birthday occurs before the start of their rookie season -

I have had two different players both have the same birthday, one can be 18 and the other cannot. If you’re starting in the off-season set his age to 20 but if you’re starting in the regular season set his age to 19. This is because the players still age even before they are drafted.

So essentially if I want a guy to be 20 in the season make him 19? That is what I have been doing but I am just ensuring I am doing it rightComment

Yes that’s what you’d want to do. And I’m not sure about the 18 year old problem you’re having, I haven’t encountered thatComment
